This attractive city hotel is situated in a quiet side street of Boulevard Magenta, around 5 minutes from the Gare de l'Est.. Links to the public transport system can be reached within 100 m of the hotel and easily reached on foot. In the immediate vicinity, there are plenty of further sightseeing attractions as well as entertainment venues awaiting visitors.

Facility

The hotel has 45 rooms, including 14 single rooms and 22 double rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by a lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     Ideal location for a nights stay before and after trains

    We had a good nights rest at East Side Hotel - it’s really handy being five mins walk from two major train stations in Paris. As other reviewers have said it’s not in the nicest of areas. However we didn’t encounter any problems during our stay - even coming back to the hotel late at night. It was very quiet. The hotel is on a side street meaning it was quiet. Apparently it was in an old hospital - and the breakfast room in the basement is very pretty with stone walls from over 100 years ago. The breakfast isn’t great - not enough variety and not enough hot food. The pastries were poor quality- can’t believe you come to Paris and get poor quality pastries!!!     We stayed for just one night, we decided to stay in their standard room than their superior room. The standard room was fine for the amount of time we were in the room.The hotel was very well located with lots of bars and restaurants. It is about 8 minutes walk to Gare du Nord train station and close to Gare du l’Est which is another main train station and metro.We decided to pay for breakfast on the day at 18€, paying at the time of booking would of been a cheaper option, as an Accor member, providing a discount on the day is an option the hotel should offer as a benefit for joining their membership.We were please we stayed here and at the time of booking was more affordable than more fashionable areas as transport links were excellent.     Twenty-one years later

    Its been a good 21 years since we last stayed in this hotel and it has been worth the wait.Arrived at this hotel from the Opera area, where we had stayed in a Best Western for two nights and it was only a steady 20 minute walk between the two. The room was clean and tidy as was the bathroom with an excellent power shower and a fridge which was a big plus.The hotel room and corridor were not as dark as it was when we first visited.     Quiet Location But Close To Major Transport Hubs

    Within strolling distance of both Gares du Nord and de l’Est and just off Boulevard Magenta, the hotel is well positioned for arrival from CDG Airport and access to transport links to Paris’s tourist sites.Staff at the hotel were all welcoming and courteous while the room was spacious with sufficient wardrobe space to accommodate a 5 day visit. I would not hesitate to book at the hotel for any future trip.     Beware of Pre Authorisation

    I booked a room in this hotel for one night and it was ok for what I needed. A bed and a shower. Although very close to station, area wasn’t very pleasant. But Beware …… I booked the hotel a few days before arrival for €101 and a pre authorisation of €140 was taken and then the following day another €140 was taken. €280 in total. On checkout, I was asked to pay €101 which I did , on the promise the pre authorisation would be released. It’s now been over 10 days and €280 is still on hold and despite numerous exchanges it’s still not been sorted. Think twice before staying here.
