    Stay away

    rating04 Sept 2025

The room was nothing like advertised! The room was moldy, dusty, and the bed was probably there since the place opened. We had to leave early I have contacted booking.com for a refund as we could not stay due to medical reasons. They should be ashamed to even advertise on their site when this is what we got compared to what they show on site. I am asthmatic and have severe allergies and the mold and dust put me in a serious state. There was mold on the ceiling, the bathroom had tiles off with mold and dirt, the carpet was dusty and dirty, the electrical was not existent. We had to run a power cord to run medical equipment and charge our phones and run a fan because there was no circulation in the room.

    Lacks compassion

    rating28 Aug 2025

The lady at the reception was extremely unsupportive. I entered the hotel in desperate need for some guidance. It was raining heavily outside and my phone battery was dead and I had no idea how to get to my hotel. I asked her if I can charge up my phone for a few minutes to get the map. She responded with an immediate "No". That's fine. I then asked if she can tell me how I can reach my hotel. She picked the wrong hotel and told me it was 2 min away when I knew it was 38 min away before my battery died. She was quite abrupt and wouldnt check any further and said she can't help.Lacks humanity especially towards a fellow woman who was in need of some guidance. If this is the kind of behaviour a receptionist at a hotel has then I wouldn't bother choosing this hotel as a place to stay.

    Perfect spot.

    rating25 Aug 2025

Flor Rivoli Hotel is located in a tiny alley that is the absolute perfect spot, if you plan to explore amazing Paris by foot and/ or using public transport. The location is really unbeatable! Within 1 min walk, you can get on the metro, trains or buses that take you practically everywhere. Just 5 min walking distance from the Louvre Museum and Pont Neuf, where if you cross to the other side it's just another 3 min walk to Notre Dame or the Musée d'Orsay. Right next door to the hotel, there is a super market and Rivoli road is a main street with commercial stores (branded & souvenirs). The 4th floor renovated room was just fine, with a mini fridge, small but clean, no a/c but didn't need it anyway (no street noise during the night) and hot water. No bed linen or towels change, (stayed 5 days). Also, I recommend to go outside to a cafe to enjoy your breakfast. But an experienced traveler knows what to expect, you always get what you pay for. Finally, I must mention Anis, the lovely young man at the reception, who was extremely helpful, obliging, very kind and friendly! He is a huge plus to the hotel! If you want a value-for-money stay in the heart of Paris, with no luxuries but most convinient ever to get around the city, you got it. Travel August 2025.

Small and friendly, hotel but very tired and old !

    rating07 Jan 2025

Let me begin by highlighting the best aspects of this charming little hotel. Its location is truly a standout feature, conveniently situated near the metro, shopping areas, and Notre Dame. We visited Paris from December 29 to January 3, specifically to celebrate the New Year. The staff were exceptionally pleasant, helpful, and welcoming, which made our stay more enjoyable. Our room was quite small, as we anticipated, it included a small desk, kettle, cups, a wall heater (which we relied on due to the chilly weather), a TV (which we didn’t use), and a complimentary safe. We appreciated the daily servicing of our room with fresh towels. The hotel is just a one-minute walk to the metro, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes within a short stroll. Additionally, a convenient supermarket right next door was incredibly handy for our needs. However, our stay was marred by the mould present in the bathroom. The lack of ventilation meant that, despite the cold weather, the bathroom remained warm after showers, leading to moisture buildup. Unfortunately, this affected our health, causing breathing issues for several nights. The room felt stuffy overnight as we had to keep the heater on due to the cold, and without proper ventilation, it became quite uncomfortable. Also there was only one electrical wall plug which was a challenge for two people to use multiple devices. Moreover, the wardrobe door was extremely squeaky, likely needing just a bit of WD40 to alleviate the persistent noise every time we opened it. We also noticed that there were often homeless individuals sleeping on the street opposite the hotel, and the immediate neighborhood appeared scruffy and unkempt. As a woman, I wouldn’t feel safe walking outside the hotel alone at night. The lift is only large enough for one suitcase, and the narrow spiral staircase may pose challenges for anyone with mobility issues.Overall, you get what you pay for here. We opted for budget accommodation to allocate more funds for attractions in Paris, and we primarily used the room for sleeping. The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear and requires significant maintenance. During our stay, electricians were working right outside our room, and we experienced a power outage for about 30 minutes one day. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Paris, but would not return to this hotel unless there was significant updates made in the future.

    Great location, abysmal breakfast!

    rating12 Nov 2024

A poor hotel. Located metres from Chatelet metro station this is a soulless, dated, no frills hotel. My room was small with circa 1960s decor but reasonably clean and the member of staff on reception was semi-pleasant. What really lets this hotel down is its awful breakfast taken in a cold cafe next door to the hotel. Tinned fruit, orange juice and bread. At around £100 per night it was not cheap but I suppose reasonable for Paris prices. So, overall, I would avoid. It’s all about location, location, location here. There are many other better, similarly priced hotels in Paris. I stayed at one a few days earlier!
