A disappointing dump

In the morning I discovered ants in my room (5th floor) and even in my bed! (And no, I didn't bring them in my suitcase...) Room upkeep a disgrace: torn curtain, peeling wallpaper, shower door out of its hinges so impossible to close properly and even dangerous. There is no breakfast even if reviews here say there is - the receptionist told me they "stopped doing that". You can make yourself a cup of coffee and grab a croissant in the "lobby". Gloomy entrance, and said hotel "lobby" is a 2 by 3 meter space with about half a meter between reception desk and elevator door. No facilities whatsoever - not even a vending machine. My wedge-style room was tiny even for Paris - about 3.5 X 2.5 narrowing down to 2.Staff was friendly, bed in itself was good, and while it is far from main attractions, it is very close to a subway station.

I booked this hotel because it seemed like a good deal — and once I arrived, it was clear why. While the location is excellent, travelers should be aware that this is very much a budget hotel. There was incessant construction noise in the stairwell next to my room and above me, which, incredibly, was still ongoing at 11:00 pm on my last night, making rest nearly impossible. The WiFi did not work during my stay, and there was no central heating, only a portable space heater. Despite expectations for basic amenities, the room had neither a safe nor a mini fridge. The photos online are misleading, presenting a polished look that doesn’t reflect the significant wear and tear throughout the property, including the bathroom. The price may be attractive, but the reality is very different from what the listing suggests.

We loved this hotel. We stayed in one of the 3 bed suites, which had a nice view. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent with access to the number 7 metro directly across the street. The wifi was not always working but we had travel e-sims that we were able to use as a backup. The staff was very friendly. The neighborhood had a trendy vibe and felt safe.

tiny room full of beds. super small elevator with very weird sounds which makes one scared. photos of hotel online very misleading on one expectations. very old and out dated. very sad and depressing experience. BEWARE

No frills but great service

No frills borderline 2-3 star (one sign on hotel says "2 stars" and the other says "3 stars". Fair but fairly priced breakfast. What makes the place is uniformly friendly staff who really aim to please. Owner is a good guy too. Decent location, got a very good deal there on Hotwire.
