Located at the heart of Marais (4th Arrondissement). 2 minute walk bus stop (St Paul). 5 min walk Metro.

8/10Location is superb. Middleground of touristic place and Parisian life.We booked this place because of its location. Definitely worth it! Few of the things you will love:concept boutique shops, St Paul church, nearby museum and parks, close to metro, plenty of resto and cafe selection, handful of mini grocery shop/convenience store, bus stop nearby and very walkable to Notre Dame and Seine river. Lucas FOSSIEZ, Autre at Grand Hotel Malher, responded to this review Dear LGS916,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly delighted to hear that our location made your visit to Paris enjoyable and convenient. Your kind feedback is greatly appreciated, and we hope to welcome you again soon for another memorable stay.Kind regards, Nina

If you are looking for a charming hotel in a perfect location this is it. It is in a charming area called La Marais - lots of cafes and shops or boutiques of all kinds. Not the big name stores, just charming Parisian stores and boutiques with cafes everywhere. Easy Uber or taxi to anywhere. Lovely breakfast area. The staff was charming. Look no further. Special place with a great location

    rating12 Nov 2025

A nice family run hotel,  with wonderful staff,  so refreshing. We stayed here for 5 nights in room 55 for my husbands 55th Birthday. I booked a room with a balcony. We booked directly with the hotel,  all communication with staff was good. Clean  large room,  comfortable bed,  I slept so well. The pictures match what you get. Metro station was 1 minute walk away with food options on your door step and lots of shopping options. We walked to Notre Dame in 15 minutes. The room had a fridge,  absolutely love that.  I would 100% stay again,  a bit above our usual budget, but for a birthday treat it was perfect.I would only suggest they let you fill water bottles in reception in stead of just a glass so you can save on buying plastic bottles. Lucas FOSSIEZ, Autre at Grand Hotel Malher, responded to this review Dear Michelle71,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about your stay with us. We are delighted to know that you found your visit special and that your husband's birthday was memorable. Your suggestion regarding water bottle refills at reception is appreciated, and we will certainly consider it as we strive to enhance our guests’ comfort and sustainability. We hope to welcome you back for another wonderful stay in the future.Best regards, Emmanuel

    Bed bugs and rude staff

    rating13 Sept 2025

I had booked a single room under booking site when I arrived they suggested they can add one more night and they can give me a double bed cause there was no single for the 2 nd night. So I had 2 different reservation she never canceled the first one. I had bed bugs on both legs so I had asked to change to another room but instead of addressing the bed bugs, this front desk told me to my face, I am going to be nice to you cause I will cancel the original reservation. He is unbelievable, your collegue forgot to cancel the one where you get less money cause there is a fee to use booking but when they book it without the booking site, they get all the money. So I think you should be happy to cancel the one you get less money . You are not doing me any favors. He is arrogant , he should apologize that his collegue messed up but he turned it around on me. It was my fault there was 2 reservation. Lucas FOSSIEZ, Autre at Grand Hotel Malher, responded to this review Hello,Upon your arrival at the hotel, you informed my colleague that you were staying at another hotel and that the receptionist was not entirely correct, as you had confused the hotels, believing that your reservation was at that one when in fact it was not.You had actually made a reservation at our hotel, which was non-cancellable and non-refundable.Upon arrival, you asked my colleague if you could make a reservation for two nights if we had availability, because after searching for hotels, you couldn't find any availability, and if we had availability, you would like to make a reservation. She informed you that we had two nights available and asked if you would like to make a reservation, to which you replied yes. That is why the second reservation was made. However, you did not mention that you had a reservation at our hotel, and given that our hotel's schedule is huge, she had no way of knowing that you had a reservation with us.The next day, you came to see me to ask for a room change if possible, claiming that there were bed bugs in the room, which is completely untrue. You can check the reviews from our guests, who are all very satisfied with their stay with us.The next day, you came to see me to ask for a room change if possible, claiming that there were bed bugs in the room, which is completely untrue. You can check our customer reviews, which show that our guests are entirely satisfied with their stay with us.I told you that I understood your position of being annoyed at having two rooms and only occupying one.You were not even aware of this cumulative situation, and in light of this misunderstanding, I asked you several times for your credit card number out of pure courtesy so that I could refund the reservation you had made on booking.com. You refused twice, saying that you had already been refunded by booking.com and that you had seen the refund on your statement.I wanted to change your room anyway, but you also refused, telling me that you were going to stay in that one. After an hour, you came back with your belongings, saying that you were leaving early, and gave me the keys. You did indeed stay one night on the reservation made with us, but leaving early is your decision and your responsibility. Now, when I read your message, you are asking for a refund and claiming that the staff is rude, that there are bed bugs, etc. This is nothing more than bad faith. All the best,Emmanuel

    Great Stay In The Marais

    rating10 Sept 2025

I wasn’t crazy about Paris initially. But our recent visit, including staying at Grand Hotel Malher, changed everything. Now, I can’t wait to go back!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with good vibes and smiles by the manager, Givan (sp?) and his colleague Mohamad. They instantly made us feel more like friends in their home rather than just hotel guests wanting to check in. The manager, who is also a hip musician - only in Paris! - went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable stay. He offered great recommendations, not just the standard tourist fare, but real, local insights. He even walked us to one of his favorite bistros to check out!

Our room was clean and comfortable. No balcony but the views out of the big windows were spectacular (see pic). Shoutout to the lady in charge of breakfast - merci for such great service! And you know what they say - location, location, location. The hotel is in the heart of the Marais, steps from everything - cafes, bars, shops, the park, St. Paul Cathedral and the metro. Yet the hotel itself feels like a quiet retreat from the bustle.

It's not flashy, but full of Parisian character and authenticity. Magnifique! Lucas FOSSIEZ, Other at Grand Hotel Malher, responded to this review Dear iamREL,Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us. We’re truly delighted to know that your stay at Grand Hotel Malher helped you fall in love with Paris! It’s always our goal to make every guest feel welcome and at home, and your kind words mean a lot to our team. We look forward to welcoming you back for another memorable visit.Warmest regards, Emmanuel
