After seeing all the negative reviews I was a little nervous about staying here, but I was very pleasantly surprised! While the rooms are small and basically furnished, all 3 of the rooms that my friends and I stayed in were clean with comfortable beds and good showers. Also all members of staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is good value and, if you don't want breakfast, you can still get hot drinks (including decent coffee!) for just €1. I'd definitely recommend Merryl Hotel as a great budget place to stay in Paris.

Quit dirty hotel, a desk looks more a illegal bankhole, staff said nothing, an elevator to small for one person (i had to sent my luagage separate), not changing linnen, a toilet so smalle i dad to sit with the door open. Neigherhood is terrible. Thousands and tousands of desperate illegal people on streek doing small business, using drugs, maling the metrostation as a , etc.

Room was tiny but clean. Woke up one morning no loo paper! As with many hotels high price for very basic accommodation. As for location not the nicest. Manager however helpful. Overall just ok but for the rate very overpriced.

In Paris you tend to get what you pay for so if you book a budget hotel, lower your expectations!! That said, this hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. When I got to my room it was very clean, with a comfy bed and basic looking shower that actually supplied plentiful hot water. The guys at reception were pleasant. They let me drop my bag off prior to check in and let me leave it for a bit after I checked out.For sure there is noise from the street but as a city girl, I was not bothered and it was not excessive. Because the floors are not carpeted (they have new looking lino type floors) the noise from someone upstairs who did not take their shoes off was much more distracting!! The stairs could do with a good scrub to be more aesthetically pleasing but as I wasn't sleeping on them I didn't care. Super close to the Metro at La Chappell and an easy walk to Gare de I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. All in all, much better than I expected and I would stay again

We have not seen a hotel that is located is such bad area. Very small tiny rooms. We hated every moment we stayed here. We did not rest at all. Filth everywhere and toilet not cleaned properly for very six months. Mattress was springy.
