  Excellent, well connected, Main station and many restaurants very close.

  Very poor customer service experience

  What a terrible experience staying in this hotel so far. From an extremely slow, laborious and curt check-in service to not being able to exchange the Rock hard pillows for softer ones contrary to their advertised “customise your pillow experience”. What a joke !!!Perhaps management should spend some time in well managed hotels to see what customer service really looks like.

  Great one night visit to explore Paris

  Great hotel - welcoming staff on arrival who made us feel at home. We were on the 7th floor room 707 in one of the King Suites (has a King bed in one room, sofa bed in another and spacious bathroom). Bathroom had a full size tub as well as separate shower as well as a TV in the mirror as a fun addition! I’d say the room wasn’t quite immaculate; check behind the bath and under the sofa please but the rest of it was fine and well equipped. Wireless chargers in both rooms foryour phones add to the convenience. Air conditioning had no problem with the 34C (98F) and was such a relief from the heat of the day. I will say there probably needs to be more of a pillow choice. Just couldn’t find a comfortable one!We went inclusive of breakfast rate as we knew we wouldn’t have the energy to get out first thing. What a grand selection at the buffet with hot (you can have a full breakfast if you want with hash browns, tomatoes, beans, sausage, eggs, bacon) or a cold meat/cheese platter with a lovely selection of french cheeses. Crepes, croissants or pain au chocolat can round off your need to break your fast! Delicious coffees, juices, loose leaf teas also available.If you want to eat out for dinner I will suggest Le P’tit Zinc, a great gem just around the corner with French eats at reasonable prices.Thanks for overall a great stay!   Great Place - Pros n Cons

  Cons - ProsLocation:Cons - Yes, it is in what they consider the Sex district. There is a "Sex Shop" next door. I never did see and person or un-savory persons hanging around or going into this shop. It, the Sex District, had no affect on the our stay. But then again I was not out at mid-night walking the streets.Pros - The Gare de Lyon Metro (5 min walk) and Gare de Austerlitz Metro (15 min walk) are very close. We used the Gare de Lyon for all metro's on the same side of the river as this Hotel, the Austerlitz Metro for any Metro needs on the other side of the river. We also purchased the Navigo card that is good from a week (Monday am to Sunday pm). It was good for the RER to Versailles, in city Metro and bus, along with the trolly from the top of Montmartre. Saved us daily time from looking for what tickets we would need to purchase. We did get stopped once on the Metro where they did check to make sure we had the correct tickets for that Metro ride, no problem.There is a great pastry place just a short walk, Boulangerie Bo (closed Wednesday n Thursday).Hotel:Cons - We had called a 2 days earlier for early check in which they said would be no problem. Only for the front desk when we checked in say they had no idea what we were talking about. No loss, they put our suite cases into a locked room tagged, and we went exploring the city.We also had a bad smell in the entry way of the room (it has a 5 ft entry before the bedroom) when we first walked in. Never smelled it again and the room itself smelled OK.The vent in the bathroom did not work, so when a hot shower was taken, it did fog up everything in the bathroom. No big deal, until Hotel personnel knocked on our door out of breath from running because the steam set off an alarm down stairs. I told him it was the steam from the shower, he said open the doors to the balcony to air it out. We did not have any other problem with thatApparently the beds in most of Europe are made with only one sheet. One to lay on, the the comforter over you. Not a problem, but different from the States.Pros - This was the nicest Holiday Inn i have ever stayed at. Very clean and up to date. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were GREAT (even with the Check in early problem). The room had a balcony, which was very small with two chairs and a small table (i expected it to be small). The in-room coffee maker was some of the best coffee I have ever had ( I am not a coffee coinsurer). We stayed in mid April 2026, which was great weather. Slightly cool, used light jacket, flowers were beautiful. Rained lightly one afternoon for about one hour.I WOULD DEFFINATLY STAY HERE AGAIN. only gave it a 4 because I can be picky.   This Hotel Does it So Well!

  You can't go wrong with this hotel. Yes, we felt strange booking a "chain" hotel for our trip to Paris, but we had points and have always had an excellent experience with IHG hotels. Imagine our surprise to show up at 11 a.m. and be given the loveliest room on the fifth floor (520) - a space filled with light and a tall ceiling, complete with a thoroughly modern bathroom filled with stylish toiletries. This hotel is so convenient to the Gare De Lyon metro/train station that staying in the 12th arrondisement was a joy. The area is perfectly safe, just lively enough at night, and there are many attractions within walking distance. There is a Monop across the street for any small grocery/personal necessities you may need. Several bistros and boulangeries offer up a multitude of dining options. We are early risers and quickly realized that the breakfast offered at the hotel is a smart way to go if you like a hearty meal at 6:30 a.m. before starting a busy day of touring. There are a tremendous variety of food and coffee options (and as many cups of coffee as you like). It's a bargain, truly, as many places nearby offered a breakfast consisting of one coffee, a croissant, and a glass of orange juice for around 15 euros. For just a bit more, we had our choice of a variety of egg dishes, ham, bacon, cold cuts, yogurt with all of the fixings, fresh fruit in season, and a number of breads that should satisfy anyone. The staff here were always welcoming and helpful. I know part of the Parisian experience for many people means staying in a boutique hotel or at an Air B'n'B, but this hotel does everything that it should so very well, making our stay just that much more pleasant and easy.
