Poor experience and facilities, tiny room.

    rating16 Nov 2025

We were in the worlds smallest bedroom where the door literally opened into the foot of the bed. Made even worse by faulty air conditioning, so the room quickly became really stuffy, even in November. The balcony doors opened into an internal courtyard, which we had to leave open to sleep as it aircon wasn't working. We got eaten alive by mosquitos overnight. When we complained the next day it was acknowledged there are indeed lots of mosquitos in the courtyard, yet they hadn't seen it necessary to warn us or repair the aircon to help us avoid them.We weren't moved to another room until 11pm the next night, and that was only after much debate and negotiation, which meant packing our stuff late and hauling it down the hotel, with zero help from the staff.I emailed the management after our visit to complain and all they offered were words of apology. We should never have been charged for the first night's stay, where we came away with oozing bites all over our face and body, having also not slept. Really poor. Wouldn't recommend or stay again. Nicolas Champel, Propriétaire at Hotel 10 Opera By Happyculture, responded to this review Dear Polly,We are truly sorry to see that you have decided to threaten our reputation simply because we were unable to offer you a refund. While we always do everything we can to satisfy our guests, we cannot tolerate blackmail or attempts to pressure us into providing compensation. Posting the same negative review across three different platforms clearly shows an intent to damage our reputation, which is particularly unfortunate. As stated clearly on all our booking platforms, our rooms are indeed small, and their size is transparently mentioned so that guests can make an informed choice before reserving.Regarding the air-conditioning, it is perfectly normal that in November the system operates in heating mode rather than cooling mode, as this is how centralized systems function during the colder season. Finally, we would like to clarify that we are, of course, not responsible for the existence of mosquitoes on the planet. In any case, our small inner courtyard does not provide conditions favorable to mosquito proliferation, as there is no stagnant water or vegetation that could attract them.We also encourage readers to consider the many reviews from the vast majority of our guests, which consistently reflect the quality of our services. This makes such an insistent attempt to harm our establishment all the more regrettable.Selly EBENEManager

    Perfect location

    rating04 Nov 2025

Excellent hotel in a perfect location, close to Galeries Lafayette and Opera Garnier. The room was small as expected but the bed was a great size and very comfortable! The bathroom was small too but with a lovely size shower.Couldn’t recommend this place more! I didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that but there are plenty of breakfasts options nearby. The reception staff were also very friendly and accommodating.I would definitely stay here again! Great Location but Choose Room Wisely

    rating22 Dec 2024

Location is convenient to subway, Roissy Bus to airport, Monoprix, and major department stores. Check in and out was smooth. Receptionists at the front desk were always friendly. The lift is REALLY SMALL so if you have big luggage you might have to take them 1 at a time. Two people will not be able to fit in the lift with luggage. But hey I am grateful there is a lift so there is no need to carry my suitcase upstairs. In regards to the room, I forgot the room number but do not take the room with the slanted ceiling shower. I am a short person not even 1.65 and my constant fear in the shower is that my head will bump into the ceiling. The faucet is also very high off the basin so when you wash your hands or face the water will keep splatter all over your torso and also splatter all over the toilet paper. There is no space in the bathroom to put your toiletry bag, clothes etc. I had to move a stool from the room into the bathroom as a makeshift counter. The air vent was covered with dust. The shower curtain does not cover the entire doorway to the shower so the water will splatter out all over the floor which means the bath mat will be completely soaked. Aside from the bathroom the room was nice. Blackout curtain, TV with multiple stations, great luggage stand with hangers. USB outlets, coffee maker, lots of lighting options. Breakfast was standard. The staff was very friendly and kept things tidy.Overall I would stay at this hotel again but would request not to be put into this room. Nicolas Champel, Propriétaire at Hotel 10 Opera By Happyculture, responded to this review Dear Client,Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and balanced review. We are pleased to read that you appreciated our convenient location, the smooth check-in and check-out process, and the friendliness of our front desk and breakfast teams. We also thank you for highlighting the positive aspects of your room, including the blackout curtains, lighting options, luggage facilities, and in-room amenities. At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the discomfort you experienced with the bathroom layout and maintenance issues. Your comments regarding the slanted ceiling shower, limited bathroom space, ventilation, and shower curtain are well noted and have been shared with our management and housekeeping teams for review and improvement.Regarding the elevator, we appreciate your understanding. As with many Parisian buildings, space is limited, but we are glad the lift was still helpful during your stay.We are grateful for your constructive feedback and are pleased to know that you would consider staying with us again. Please be assured that, on a future visit, we would be happy to allocate a room without these constraints upon request. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back. The 10 Opera team

Really great stay in the hear of a busy city. The staff were the best part!!

    rating23 Sept 2024

In Paris for the Olympics- had 3 rooms here. Great stay! The staff were just amazing - super kind, friendly, always ready to be of assistance. Thank you so much for everything, and please tell your staff a big thank you!Breakfast was included in our room, and it was pretty tasty and hearty! The BEST coffee machine ever, surprised to see such an expensive one too.Rooms were clean and cleaned everyday by housekeeping well. No complaints there. Room is small, 2 of us were sharing and it was a bit of a tight squeeze in certain times, but we weren't in the room long. Beds are comfy! Location - good! Right next to a metro stop and not too far from main attractions, about 20 mins to the Louvre.Smoothie bike. Hear me out- a freaking smoothie bike! They will let you make a smoothie whenever you want!! Amazing.Security- past a certain hour, you had to use your key to enter the building or ring the bell. Appreciate this. Now here's reality - the elevators (super small), rooms, bathrooms are small. Not terrible, but reality of a city hotel. Nicolas Champel, Propriétaire at Hotel 10 Opera By Happyculture, responded to this review Dear Guest, All the team of the 10 Opera hotel joins me to thank you about your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and our services. We hope to see you again very soon!Best regards,The 10 Opera team
