  Comfortable, welcoming and a great location

  Really lovely little hotel in a great location, just off the Place de la République and the top end of the Marais. The staff were fantastic - friendly, helpful, accommodating - and the room was ideal for our needs. The breakfast didn't have a huge range but was fine for kicking off a day of sightseeing. I'd give 4.5 stars but the system won't let me.

  Our stay here was ok. The size of the rooms were as expected for Paris. Location was good. The rooms could do with a deep clean in some areas (especially carpets) and the beds had seen better days. We had to put the kettle on the floor in our room to reach the plug and tea/coffee supplies were very limited. Breakfast was nice but they only brought out small amounts of items and replenished when gone. It would be better for guests if they could see plenty of everything on offer.We experienced a lot of noise very early in the mornings from the building site across the street.The most positive thing was the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

  A Terrible Breach of Security & Service

  Imagine, you book a “Boutique” hotel expecting helpful and polite staff, clean and well maintained rooms and you end up somewhere where the manager questions you when you ask for an extra toilette paper roll accusing you of using “a whole roll of paper in one day”!!! I was flabbergasted to be frank. NEVER in my adult travel life have I been humiliated so badly, not to mention this conversation took place in the reception area!! The Manager of this establishment clearly needs to go back to hospitality school. How sad that his staff also think him as rude. The hotel has good location, good breakfast, though it is brought out in drips and drabs so guests don’t eat too much. The bath tub was so high, it was difficult to get in and out of. Shower had no pressure and the water was lukewarm. There was mould around the bath and after a shower the bathroom floor was waterlogged. Oh and my niece and I shared a twin room. The single beds were child size and too small for adults. At every turn there was a chance of falling out of bed. And one fundamental flaw in security, there are NO locks from the inside so anyone can walk into your room with a keycard as they did this morning at 7:20am. The same unhelpful manager feigned an excuse; your door was open already!!!! Can you imagine. Traveller be aware. This establishment needs a serious re-think of security and service

  Very happy with our stay at Le 20 Prieure

  We stayed 2 nights (one night on arrival in Paris and one night prior to departure) at Le 20 Prieure and were very comfortable. We have realistic expectations when it comes to Paris hotel room sizes and we were very happy with the size and comfort of our queen room. The bed was extremely comfortable. The continental breakfast was also good, plenty to choose from and replenished regularly by the kitchen staff. The location of the hotel is excellent, a 2 minute walk to Oberkampf metro and a couple of minutes more to Republique. We want to do a shout out to Fabien, who was so very helpful and kind to us throughout our stay and when our flight home to Australia was delayed by several hours. We appreciated the cup of tea and his company while we bided our time in reception! Merci Fabien!

  Room not clean ! Bed bugs found in the room. property answer was that hotel was fully booked and that we were expected to sleep there; night receptionist was helpful.in the end they booked room for us at a hotel next door where electricity went down.
