    good however concerning key situation

    rating17 Feb 2026

It is a lovely and clean but small hotel with an authentic parisian feeling, in an excellent location for anyone looking to explore Paris. It is close to Bastille metro station which carries 3 lines. The room was very small so recommend only booking this hotel if you don’t plan to spend much time there. The staff were welcoming and friendly and there was no problem with service. However, there was one thing that was concerning to us. On our first day of staying there, there was a fire alarm. After this fire alarm, when we next went to leave the hotel, the lady on the front desk asked for our room key so she knew who was in the hotel. This was fine with us as it saved us having to look after the key and carry it around ect. However, when we arrived back to the hotel there was a different lady on reception who we had never met before, all we did was ask for our room key and it was handed straight over. This also happened on the night time when there was a male watching the desk. This was concerning for us as in our eyes anyone could’ve walked in and asked for the room key as we were not asked for any confirmation to confirm that the room was ours and we had never met the other two receptionists before therefore they wouldn’t have known which room was ours. When i raised this with the lady on reception the next day she was very dismissive and didn’t let me get my point across and we still had to leave our key at the hotel. Therefore I recommend if you do leave the hotel and have to leave your key at reception put ALL valuables in your safe just in case.

Ask for a room away from the street and lift

    rating30 Sept 2025

We initially had a room on the street. BIG MISTAKE. There are 2 bars below and the racket never stopped until 3 am. Fortunately the front desk heard our pleas and moved us to a courtyard facing room on the top floor. Sadly it was next to the elevator so it will still loud but nothing like the street room. Do yourself a favor and ask for a courtyard facing room away from the lift. Also, if you're older or have any mobility issues at all be sure to ask if they have any rooms with a shower instead of a tub. Stepping into the tub to shower wasn't too bad but it was a solid 20" step down to get out of this slippery tub with absolutely nothing to hang onto. Very, very sketchy. There is no ADA in France so be sure to map out all contingencies if you are at all having mobility issues.

Excellent location and a clean comfortable hotel

    rating10 Sept 2025

We stayed for two nights arriving in the evening of the first night and we were pleased to receive a complimentary upgrade to a larger room at the front of the hotel on the fifth floor. It was large, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding value and the reception is friendly and helpful.

    What a gem!

    rating15 Aug 2025

We just left the hotel after a two night stay in a quadruple room and loved it. Tiny but what a find. Surpassed our expectations. Gorgeous interiors, good space for a sofa bed and adequate for a short stay with our two sons, age 12 and 15. Super cute balcony facing the interior side which meant it was quiet and great wardrobe space, amazing air con and a separate toilet to the bathroom which was handy. Great bakery and shops nearby and a short walk to Bastille/Marais. We didn’t have breakfast but was available for £15 Euros. Room also had a fridge which was helpful. Negatives: tiny lift (not a problem for us) and the shower attachment needed fixing as didn’t stay in place but not a big deal. Will definitely return!

Great location, quirky hotel.....shame about the staff!

    rating21 Apr 2025

Outdated but authentic hotel. We stayed in room 201 and to access this we took the tiniest lift....2 people and a suitcase was max but never had a problem waiting for its arrival. The room was clean and tidy....plenty of storage and plug sockets. Tea/ coffee complimentary but was disappointed when we asked for more milk and coffee and got told we were only allowed enough for one cup each! The bathroom had complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. Staff were all polite when spoken to but didn't make us feel welcome at all...came across as very miserable especially the man! We had to leave at 6.20 am for airport transport and was told we would receive a breakfast bag but got nothing! Wasn't even offered it! Great hotel but staff could do with enhancing customer service
