    Amazing Stay in Paris! 10/10!

    rating28 Mar 2026

We had an amazing stay at Aoriste! Before we arrived, I was nervous because there weren’t that many reviews of the hotel after it became Aoriste from the previous Hôtel Louvre Piemont. But all my worries disappeared once we arrived. All staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. My family of four stayed in a junior suite, and we were so impressed. The room was large, clean, and nicely decorated. Beds (including the sofa bed) were incredibly comfortable as was the bedding. I had my worries about the sofa bed because they are notoriously known to be uncomfortable in hotels, but this was not the case in our room. It was just as comfortable as the bed. We had two large windows that opened overlooking window planters and the front street. We were on a lower floor but had no issue with street noise at night. The room included a closet with shelves, a hanging rod with hangers, full-length mirror, safe, shoe racks (so nice to put shoes away after walking on streets and sidewalks all day) and clothes steamer. When you opened the closet, lights turned on inside which I thought was a nice touch. There was also a desk with chair next to the closet. We used this area for our device charging station which was nice to keep in the corner. In between the two beds, there were two small tables and an upholstered stool. We ordered takeout (as well as hotel room service) several of the nights, and these tables were nice to put the food on. The tv was a nice size, and we were able to find news channels in English and one channel that played a movie each night in English. Next to the sofa bed is a small cart with the coffee machine and tea/coffee supplies. We didn’t try the in-room coffee, but I did use the machine for tea water each day. Great selection of teas in the room as well as free jarred water filled up each day. The bathroom was a decent-sized bathroom for Paris. It felt like a luxury coming back to the room each night and freshening up after walking miles and miles each day. The shampoo, soap, conditioner, and lotion smelled so good and was gentle on my skin and hair. It was nice to have a bathtub and such a treat to put on the provided plush robes after a hot bath. Slippers were also provided, but we didn’t use them. The bathroom door does have a frosted-like window in it, which can be a bit bright at night for the people sleeping in the main bed; however, it wasn’t a major problem for us. PLENTY of outlets in the room (no American outlets naturally). Our room was also tidied up each day by staff. Breakfast was included with our room, and we ate in the main floor breakfast area each morning. Breakfast staff was amazing and even showed our kids how to make hot chocolate in their espresso machine. Lattes/espresso drinks were very good as was the tea selection. Food was delicious as well. An assortment of cheese, meats, olives, pickles, cut and whole fruit, juice, yogurts, hot breakfast items such as mini hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, and sausage, and of course delicious croissants and breads. The staff did a wonderful job of having a nice spread out each morning and replacing items as needed. The breakfast area was also nicely decorated and clean. In fact, the entire hotel was very clean and had a wonderful light perfume smell (as someone who is sensitive to strong perfume smells, it was not overpowering at all). While we didn’t have any, I did notice that there were alcoholic drinks set out each night in the breakfast area. Not sure if these were an additional cost or not. At night, there were also croissants in the lobby as well as fruit-infused chilled water. A nice touch. The hotel does have an elevator but it is small. If you have a large group, you will need to split up into different trips up/down. We used the spiral stairs mostly. You need a key card for both the elevator and stairs, which I appreciate the extra level of security. Lastly, the location is fantastic. We were at the Louvre in minutes, and there are so many cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. While we didn’t stay out late, the neighborhood felt safe. I would HIGHLY recommend Aoriste for your stay in Paris. We felt like we hit the jackpot in finding this place and would not hesitate to stay there again when visiting Paris. Would definitely recommend!! Thibaut de Villoutreys, Directeur général at Aoriste, responded to this review Wow—thank you so much for this incredible review! We’re absolutely delighted that your stay at Aoriste exceeded your expectations and that you felt so comfortable with your family in the Junior Suite. It truly means a lot to us that you highlighted the comfort, the little in-room details, our breakfast, and above all the kindness of our team—we’ll be sure to share your lovely words with them.We couldn’t ask for a better compliment than “hitting the jackpot”! We would be thrilled to welcome you back for another amazing stay in Paris.

Fantastic hotel right by the Louvre

What a great find, moments from the Louvre. Charming and friendly staff and it even has a small pool in the heart of Paris. Nice hotel, great location

    rating12 Jan 2026

Lovely staff, great location, reasonable price - what's not to like? Didn't try any of the food or the spa, so not able to comment on those. As a boutique hotel, the decor was perfect. Glad we got an upgrade - rooms were not particularly roomy but by the same token, big enough. Surprised there was no extractor in the shower room/toilet but hey ho, not really an issue as it turns out. Thibaut de Villoutreys, Directeur général at Aoriste, responded to this review Thank you very much for your kind comments and for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We are delighted to read that you appreciated our location, the decor of the hotel, the value for money, and above all the friendliness of our team. We are also pleased that the room upgrade contributed positively to your stay, and that you found the space appropriate for a boutique hotel in central Paris.Regarding your remark about the absence of an extractor in the shower room, we would like to clarify that our bathrooms are equipped with a mechanical ventilation system (VMC), designed to ensure proper air circulation. That said, your comment has been taken seriously, and we will be carrying out a technical review to ensure the system is functioning optimally. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again on a future stay in Paris.

The staff made it brilliant and location just topped it right up

    rating22 Nov 2025

Definitely a great location and excellent staff. I mean, it's a struggle not to give a full 5 stars, and it was close. I had changed and added another night and Sophie was really very helpful and took care of that. I think it was Emad that met us when we arrived and recognized me from the emails. We left our luggage and goodness, were just a two minute walk from the Louvre, the metro 1 at Place Colette and we even hoofed it from there to the Eiffel Tower (I would not recommend doing that in the rain...it is actually much further than it looks). Sophie set me on to City Mapper (like Google and apple maps) as she uses it and it gives train times, if something is running later, and even suggests which car to get onto on the metro or train. And because the metro is just a minute away, and with Sophie's instructions, we got the Ile de France app where we could very easily buy tickets. Once we did that, we were off to Cirque du Soleil, changing from metro to train and purchased return tickets through the app. We even did it to go to the airport (13e! Ireland needs to learn from France when it comes to public transport). The hotel itself, being very well positioned, is clean and the breakfast is great. There isn't a huge place for breakfast, nor is it needed. It's still spacious and you get a nice spread of sausages and eggs, fresh and hard boiled eggs, loads of cheese choices and some fruits and such. The smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and cucumber plus baguette was my choice both mornings. It was good quality and straight forward. There is a water dispenser with chilled flat and sparkling water (great for filling up the water bottles for the day) and the coffee is a machine, nespresso, with a good range. We had the junior suite, as a treat for ourselves, and that's where there's a star knocked off, and I really don't mean this in a bad way. It's just how it was. There was a very distinctive odour mainly in the hall, kind of like a sewage or salty-seaside smell, which wasn't present in the bathroom or the bedroom. We mentioned it on the day we were leaving and Sophie jumped right on to it and was to have someone look into it. It wasn't a huge deal, just felt like a pipe might have opened up, or just the way the building was. Besides that, the room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable, something unusual for hotels I find. We had a great sleep both nights. The balcony is very small, or a better word is, quaint. Very Parisian and just nice to sit out (or stand out because it had been very wet, and cold, but great for a brisk morning wake up with coffee in hand). The view over the rooftops was lovely. It was let down in a slight way in that the room is in the apex and the sides, rafters, come up so that if you walked out of the bed on the right side (facing it) you'd easily crack your head. The same way in the toilet. It's hard to describe, but just picture every film set in the smoky old days of London or Paris where the writer with no money gets a room at the very top of the hostel, the corner of the attic. That's what it's like. Quirky and nice a way, but just...not hugely practical. I put a luggage stand on that side so I could bump into it instead of the roof if I got up in the middle of the night (and let's face it, in your 50s, getting up in the middle of the night does happen more often). All in all, the location + staff made the hotel stupendous. The room itself, junior suite for that price, maybe go for one of the other rooms. It would have been a full 5 star with one of the others. Again, you could not ask for a better, more friendly, more experienced staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. You'll get to any of the most famous hallmarks quite easily from the hotel and it's definitely worth booking a stay. Thibaut de Villoutreys, Directeur général at Aoriste, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you so much for this wonderfully detailed and generous review — your warmth truly means a lot to us. And yes, I’ll admit, seeing that missing fifth star stings a little, especially knowing how close we were.I’m genuinely delighted that Sophie and Emad made such a strong impression and that our location helped you make the most of Paris, even in the rain. Your compliments on the breakfast and overall comfort are greatly appreciated by the whole team.I’m sorry, however, for the inconvenience caused by the odour and the impractical layout of the junior suite. You were right to mention it, and I’m glad Sophie reacted immediately. We’ll keep pushing to make sure these details don’t detract from an otherwise excellent stay.We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back — and next time, we’ll aim for nothing less than that full 5/5.
