  comfortable and convenient

  We visit Paris often so like to stay in a different hotel each time. This had good reviews in both guide books and Trip advisor . It is on a direct Metro line from Gare du Nord, so easy for Eurostar travel, and is near two metro stations. Its in an area with god shops, including an art shop and some bakeries, and there are several good restaurants nearby. As it was December there was also a Christmas Market at St Germain de Pre, 5 minutes walk away.The bedroom was large, with a comfortable bed, and chairs. The bed with its curtains against the wall was almost like being in a four poster. There was a bathtub in the bathroom ( most central Paris hotels only offer a shower) which pleased me. There was a good choice at breakfast. In fact we liked it so much we might stay next time we are in Paris.

  This place looks nothing like the pictures, its shabby and completely uninviting , just like the person on reception who was rude, unfriendly and condescending . We didnt stay long , we took one look at the room and ran. Even though we had a refundable booking it took Citi Card , over a month to get our money back. There is no way that this is a 4 Star property . Your decision to leave the hotel was based solely on the fact that none of our rooms are equipped with walk-in showers. This feature is indeed not available in any of our room categories, and unfortunately no request or preference regarding a walk-in shower was mentioned at the time of booking. Had this essential requirement been communicated in advance, we would have informed you immediately to avoid any disappointment upon arrival.Regarding your comment about the attitude of our receptionist, we are concerned by this perception. The team member simply explained, in a professional manner, that our rooms do not offer walk-in showers. At no time was any discourtesy or condescension intended. We nevertheless regret if this exchange felt unpleasant to you, as courtesy and respect are fundamental values for our team.You also mention that the hotel did not meet your expectations compared to the photos. All images published on our official platforms reflect the reality of our property and its various room categories. Should the room layout not have suited your preferences, our team would have been pleased to offer an alternative. Unfortunately, you chose to leave immediately without allowing us the opportunity to propose another solution.Regarding the refund, as your reservation was made through a third-party booking platform and paid by credit card, the reimbursement process is subject both to the platform’s procedures and to your card issuer’s processing time. The necessary actions were taken by our hotel immediately upon your departure to authorize the refund without delay. However, once this validation is completed on our side, the final timeframe is entirely determined by the external financial institutions involved, over which we unfortunately have no control.Finally, our 4-star classification is an official rating awarded according to strict national standards and regular inspections.It is unfortunate that we were not given the opportunity to turn your experience around.   Au Manoir lovely, great staff, good location in Paris

  Our first stay at Au Manoir in the 6th. Great location, across from Les Deux Margots and Saint Germain des Pres church. Many restaurants in the area to choose from and Metro stations close by. Hotel is beautifully appointed, with great attention to detail, and very comfortable. The manager makes everything go smoothly and cares about the guests, their comfort and ensures that the hotel is a great base for their stay in Paris. ALL of the staff throughout the hotel are friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet fully stocked with delicious offerings and morning staff are most pleasant and efficient. Eva was with us most mornings and she was a delight and very attentive. Chatting with her was a great way to start the day, and she made sure we had plenty to eat. The desk managers were very helpful with all of our questions and needs. The night manager who was there most of the nights was Benjamin. He came to our rescue many times during our stay and is a great representative of the hotel, really cares about the guests, and has a lovely personality and sense of humor. We've been to Paris many times but this was the first two-week stay, and we were very happy to have found Au Manoir as our home away from home.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Au Manoir in Paris. I spent quite some time researching the best hotel for our short stay, and this one was perfect for our needs. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Saint-Germain. We had a lovely room facing the street, overlooking the famous Café de Flore, yet it was pleasantly quiet.The €5 breakfast was delightful and easily the best value in the area, especially given the high prices at nearby tourist cafés. We’d also recommend Café Louise, conveniently located right next to the hotel. Overall, a charming and well-situated place to stay in Paris.

  The central location is convenient but we ended up in the very front rooms directly on the Blvd Saint Germain which is loud and active all night long. The rooms are also fairly dated and inconsistently sized. We had two rooms for the same price and one was half the size of the other -- very small even by Paris standards. Beds were comfortable though, which was nice. It was fine in the end, but I will probably look for another option in the future.
