  We spent the weekend at the barriers hotel it was not the first time for me.My friend made the booking.I was very surprised of how far we had to walk to be in our room.I heard the hotel was in renovation but they put us in very old rooms!With damaged white wall paper.The room didn't even have a coffee machine for a 5 stars hotel in Enghien I don't understand.Also the carpet in the corridor was old and not welcoming.I spent myself some time in barriers hotel but I was in complete different room.I am very disappointed.

  If you look for a perfect hotel, very close to Paris, this hotel offers all you want. From here you can make your daily trips, even to Deauville. You can enjoy a drink in the garden area, perfect to sit and just to relax

  My husband, myself and my one year old baby arrived there at 5 pm on Wednesday 24th May. There were only one receptionist while there were 3 guests waiting. We had a buggy and 3 bags.We overheard that the lift was down and they did not know when it will be fixed but there were no technician working on it… Then came out turn when we’re told the swimming pool is only for 16yo + and that booking forgot to mention it, so our baby cannot go there. Our room was at the last floor (3rd one) and no one can help us because the lady was alone at the reception.A staff member saw me struggle when I arrived up there and told me, there is another elevator for the cleaning ladies only to use but that I should ask reception next time. So my husband carried everything up and I was carrying my son. We opened the door room hoping for a mind blowing experience (300eu the night for a deluxe room with balcony and Seine view) and it was an old room, in which they had put a baby bed that we had requested, furniture was old, bedding was white sheets only, no chair nor a table in the balcony that really needs to be refurbished. We just left to go in the city and enjoy a little bit cause the experience so far was terrible. So at 7.30pm elevator still not working, so we go down with baby and buggy and when I ask for the other elevator I’m told it’s not safe… poor cleaning ladies using an unsafe elevator…The next day when we checked out, they tried to bill me the breakfast that was included in the price I had paid and told me: but you took it in the room right… well no I didn’t and we were rushed (at 9.45am) cause they were closing the breakfast room. At 12pm, elevator was still not fixed. To sum up: we live in Asnieres, decided to go a getaway weekend not too far with a baby in a ‘Barrières’ hôtel which is supposed to be a luxurious 4 stars hotel and nothing was at the expected level, not even the basics to have a lift working on such a busy weekend.   Spent a weekend , hotel is fine , our room has the right space but decoration esp carpet and furniture are very dated.The spa however is very nice, breakfast is really good. Location is great, cafes, restos and bars are just walking distance.
