    Disgusting

    rating07 May 2025

Really disgusting showers all in mold, the windows can’t open and the bed sheets were pink. I do NOT advise this. In the halls there are brown spots. The soap u can barely get it off ur body. U only get one towel each and u can’t dry it anywhere so u have wet towels all day even when u wanna shower again. Not worth it.

    rating04 May 2025

We appreciated the location (at the very exit of the Metro Stop Gallieni - line 3).It is a short subway ride to the city center and to all main attractions as it crosses most of the other Metro line.We liked the 3rd room we were finally assigned to (after changing twice - the first night we were assigned a spare room and the morning after we were moved into a room next to a technical room with pupms going on and off at all times and the room smelled like indian food, which we hadn't consumed as we haven't been there the night before).Clean bed sheets. But that's about it.Our first night was a bit of a drama. Our TGV train was delayed so by the time we arrived at the Hotel it was almost 1am (but we did send an email to communicate so).Night shift guy couldn't locate our reservation right away and when he did, we were given the wrong room number first (so somebody else was in the room).Room on the 1st floor are not easy to locate either as entrace is hidden behind a closed door right around the corner from the elevators. We finally managed to get to a spare room but that's all it was - a spare room (one of those room they would leave open just in case (the closet even had some dismissed equipment in it).Carpet was dirty, bathroom door was rotten. Our windows faced the rear of the Auchan sign.We were too tired so we just crashed on the bed and asked for our room to be changed the next morning. Most of the staff (exception made for 2 or 3 of them) didn't speak proper English (I even had to literally use a translator app with one of the night staff cause they didn't seem to understand a single thing I was asking them). I do speak French but even that was not enough to get to the bottom of things.Wifi doesn't work - it keeps saying to complete in-person verification with the staff at the reception but when asked they tell you to just add your room # and last name (but of course this doesn't work).2 out of 3 elevators were out of order for the most part of the weekend and, being assigned a room on the 7th floor, it has been a nightmare (we had to climb up and down 7 stories more than once cause we were waiting 20 to 30 min each time just to get down or up).Rooms are as hot as they can possibly get. No AC and no possibility of opening the windows. The boiler we had was also leaking which resulted in most of our staff that were next to it getting soaked wet.Our bathtub was dirty so we showered with our flip-flops on.The toilet flush wasn't even flushing properly. So, to sum this all up, all I can say is that if you are looking for a bed to sleep on and a cheap location well connected with the city center then you may try this place. Otherwise, look elsewhere. We had an event to the nearby Novotel (which was unfortunately fully booked for the weeked) so that's the only reason why we booked this one. NIKOLAOS TSOLAKIS, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Campanile Paris Est - Porte De Bagnolet, responded to this review Dear AgneS,Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay at Campanile PARIS EST - Porte de Bagnolet. I would never attend or advise anyone to stay in this hotel. Please read.

Would never return to this hotel! Firstly arrived with my partner for a 3 night stay for a birthday treat at Paris. Reception staff spoke French and English but were extremely rude. Advised when booking in, they do not have a room available for us. The room booked had already been given out we were told ? I politely asked why and if this could please be looked into. The manager came over and advised the staff to just cancel our booking. His manager was not only rude, but loud and harsh. This is where I got upset. The manager continued to state because myself and wife are both female, we will not need a double bed and a separate twin room would be fine. However again advised no rooms available. Lucky, the staff member could see the look of distress being 7pm at night with no alternative hotels available, he managed to find us a room (we think it was a family room they give, as it had a double and single bed within it).Once we finally got checked in, the carpet within the room had allot of large stains over it. Rooms are extremely small. Use of telephone for reception in an emergency does not work in floor 600 so not as easy to just run downstairs if needed. No iron available. Hotel is used for allot of school trips, so over 200/300 students were at the hotel making it very loud overnight. Shouting, partying and dancing entering in and out of each other’s rooms. Staff not willing to help. Only saving grace was the location of this hotel. Metro literally 2 seconds walk. Mc Donald’s / supermarket and other food places very close by. Overall, due to the staffs / managers rude, abrupt and dismissive behaviour I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Won’t be back!

    rating21 Feb 2025

Just had a few days here - never again. It was full of school parties. There seemed to be a group of older Spanish teens who were drinking, smoking and playing music until the early hours of the morning, running up and down the corridors. Behaviour which was largely being ignored by staff. The bar and smoking areas were unavailable at times due to the number of them. The food was ok. I don’t mind a buffet but that usually means a bigger selection of foods to choose from. Veal or fish! Not a fan of either so I found myself filling up on the starters and not eating a warm evening meal. The staff spoke some English but were not polite, friendly or helpful. They were rude. Why would you want someone’s room number and just hand them a calculator to type the numbers in? If I had been asked I would happily have provided it - possibly even in French! I witnessed a member of staff shouting at another guest - Not appropriate in a public space. The rooms were small, I couldn’t imagine trying to get 3 people in it comfortably. It really needs some serious TLC to get it looking reasonable. Carpets were filthy, bathroom was old and outdated. I won’t be returning. NIKOLAOS TSOLAKIS, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Campanile Paris Est - Porte De Bagnolet, responded to this review Dear Stacey,Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences during your recent stay with us. Don’t ever come to this hotel!!

If I could award 0 stars I would!Brought my school here on a trip, the staff were rude to both students and teachers from the second we walked through the door. The staff woke me up at 2:30am complaining about our students being noisy and running on corridors, when we went to investigate it turned out to be a different school and none of our students. Students from other schools were running up and down corridors, having parties and smoking weed on the terrace and nothing was said to them after multiple complaints from us. On check out the hotel refused to refund our 780 euro deposit (which was the students money) due to noise levels and complaints from other customers even though majority of the noise was from students at other schools.
