  Dirty and cheap-Stay away!

  This hotel is an old hotel with mildew/ moldy shower which already made me sick. When you finish a toilet paper roll , guess what, they bring used one from other rooms and place it in your room ( please see the picture) , the hotel is falling apart , door knobs come off easily and their excuse is that it will be remodeled soon . Staff including the receptionists are not able to speak English except the manager which could poorly put some sentences together. They are so cheap in providing shampoo and soaps . no small towel is existed in this hotel . Blow dryer on the wall was a joke.The breakfast is served next to the main entrance .They don’t have a space for breakfast and the entrance glass door is awfully dirty and imagine to eat breakfast sitting next to dirt. they changed my room once but the second one was even worse and in the very last day they offered switching the room again but I imagined the same story would repeat itself and not worth moving all my luggage so I refused. Anyhow, it was just an awful experience although I paid a great amount of money thought it was a 4 star hotel. I would rate it 0 star motel. I believe with the poor French standard, this hotel seems fabulous. Please stay away and save your money. I will warn people on Hotel.com as well to help them not to fall in the trap.

  Good value hotel in Paris

  Good location, comfortable room and helpful and friendly staff , paricularly Maria, Pierre and Enzo. A suggestion to improve the hotel would be for the rooms to have a minibar or, at least, a small refrigerator to store perishable fruit etc.

  I spent one night at the Timhotel Opera Grands Magasins, and it’s not the first time. I like this hotel. The location is quite good, 15 minutes walk to the Opera, and close to the Saint Georges and Pigalle Metro Stations.The room we were given was 302, on the third floor, with nice street views. Quite big room for Parisian standards. Flat screen TV ( only French channels ;-(), safe deposit box. Free mineral water, tea and coffee. Very good shower.Breakfast included in my rate: sufficient choice.Very friendly and helpful staff.Warning: the booking using the hotel’s webpage can be confusing: I chose a date in which the hotel was fully booked; instead of warning me, the page chose a previous date. I didn’t pay attention, I continue my booking, no re confirmation of dates appeared before paying. Result: I had to pay the night because the rate was nor reimbursable nor cancelleable. It was partly my fault, but I consider the booking process should be clearer.All in all I like the hotel and I can recommend it.

  Great location & nice hotel!

  The hotel is centrally located near the metro and walking distance to the train station. I would take a cab though if you have a good deal of luggage. The room was clean and spacious for three guests. One double bed and two twin beds. I was surprised at the size of the room. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The room was air conditioned and that was nice because we were there during the heat wave. The staff was friendly once they warmed up to us Americans. I just kept being as nice as I could given I don't speak French and didn't attempt to butcher the language. The front desk lady was kind enough to help me with directions more than once. I highly recommend the hotel. It's worth the extra cost. The only reason it didn't get 5 starts was because we asked for cab the night before we left. They didn't order it and we were rushed to make our train.

  Very efficient and friendly staff especially at check in when I turned up on spec. The room was clean room, and a good size for Paris hotels at this level. The location is extremely convenient. Breakfast a swift process and perfectly good.
