This appealing hotel is located at the heart of the fashion and theatre district, just a few minutes walk from Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the legendary department stores and the Opéra Garnier. Scores of shops, restaurants, and excellent public transport links are directly in front of the hotel and it is 35 minutes drive to Orly or Charles de Gaulle airports.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1900. 34 non-smoking rooms and 2 suites are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Additional facilities include a library. Rooms

    Great Location and Perfect Amenities

    This hotel was an absolute PERFECT choice for our girls trip to Paris. The staff was friendly and checked us in early, and even though the elevator was broken, they helped us with our bags and were super helpful. Each room has their own climate adjustments (essential in the dire heat), and the location was perfect! I was able to walk easily to great cafes and museums, and the street itself was perfect. Can’t wait to return!

    A really nice Boutique Hotel centrally located in Paris. Personal are friendly and we felt Welcome. Upgrades are available. Breakfast is good however there is room for improvement. Elevator for max. 2 people. There are two areas in the Lobby to sit and visit. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Extremely Disappointing Stay – Misleading Rating and Poor Conditions

    We booked this hotel based on its 4-star classification and an impressive 8.8 rating on Booking.com. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what was advertised — the property did not even meet a 2-star standard in several aspects.Key issues included: • The room door was very old and did not feel secure. • Room access relied on a flimsy plastic button, adding to the sense of insecurity. • Furniture throughout the room was outdated, worn, and in poor condition. • The elevator was in a visibly bad state and felt unsafe to use. • Breakfast was served in a cramped basement room resembling a staff cafeteria — definitely not suitable for guests. • There was no clear signage for the hotel, making it difficult to locate. • The Wi-Fi was nearly non-functional; we were eventually given access to a staff-only network. • There was no in-room information available, not even how to contact the reception. • Most disturbingly, housekeeping entered our room without knocking, which was a serious breach of privacy.Given the actual condition and service level of the hotel, a realistic rating would be no higher than 6 or 7. It is highly concerning that such a property is rated 8.8 and listed as 4-star — this is misleading and disappointing for guests who rely on Booking.com’s ratings and classifications.I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.

    Boutique Comfort in the 8th District

    Chic and stylish rooms in a friendly boutique hotel. You are special guests to the staff and a lovely way to acquaint yourself with Parisians. This hotel is small and caters to French speakers but there is no issue since the desk staff speak fluent English. Breakfast was delish and made to order. CHAVANEL is very centrally located, with a Metro stop within a short distance. We would return in an heartbeat.

    Boutique hotel in the heart of the city. In a walking distance of the most important sites of Paris.Kind and friendly personnel.Everything was clean and comfortable.The breakfast was very good, served in a cute and cozy room.It makes you feel like home.
