Not what we were looking for

Booked this hotel at the last minute when we decided to go to Versailles. Room and bathroom overall were small and stuffy, with a small window in the bedroom and a low ceiling. No lift, had to lug our suitcases up the steep and narrow staircase 2 floors (we were in France for a long stay so we had full sized suitcases). Room was at the end of a narrow hallway on the top floor. Lots of noise coming from other rooms.The room's door was very difficult to open. It was too tight against the door jam. After finally getting it opened we left our bags in the room and tried to leave to park the car, but we couldn't get the door shut (and therefore couldn't lock it). We didn't feel comfortable with this, not sure if we could get out the next morning (assuming we could get it shut and locked from the inside). Attendant at the front desk was friendly and as helpful as she could be. She offered us another room but we were no longer comfortable there. So we left for another hotel.This hotel might be better suited for someone expecting a hostel type environment, backpackers and such only looking for a place to sleep for the night. Hotel management refused to refund our 2 nights.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience.We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Palace of Versailles. A wise choice.The location is excellent and also close to many good restaurants.The staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is first class.Excellent value.

loved the stay here. It was really close to the train station (like a 5-7 minute walk?) and was right around the corner from the Versailles Palace. The apartment was clean, and the bathroom was really clean and nice, loved the shower design. We also took advantage of the bag storage benefit (which was free) and left our bags there while we did the Versailles Palace tour which was very helpful.
