  In general the staff is not very professional. Preparing breakfast while you and others still have diner, staff lacks interest in guests (if you work in a restaurant, you should look around to see if any of the guest has a request) if you pass by the reception no one is interested in you. And the food in the restaurant was of low quality. In general staff is slow and not very attentive.

  The location of the hotel is excellent. It is a 10 minute walk to Chateau Fontainebleau, less from the main road replete with restaurants, and there is an easily accessible public parking lot within 5 minutes of the hotel. However, the rooms are ridiculously small with a double bed crammed into an alcove and a tiny strip of space from door to window. The bathroom is adequate. Staffing seems to be an issue. The reception is often empty of staff as is the bar - this even at peak times. The receptionist who checked us in was not even sure of the breakfast times; nor did she seem aware of the parking opportunities despite the hotel having sent us an email the previous day. Certainly one expects far more experienced service from a hotel ranked four stars!

  It is amazing to find such a lovely boutique hotel with modern amenities in a quiet corner of Fontainebleau. We came here with our two teens and totally enjoyed the comfort and the beauty of the place. We highly recommend it for families or business trips.

  The hotel needed maintenance. At one time it was a 5 star hotel, but without upkeep it is not as good as it could be.

  Tiny, dark and noisy room - what’s not to like.

  We were very disappointed with this hotel. The standard rooms are tiny, you cannot walk & get to the bed without turning to face it. In other words you have to sidle in. We told the Receptionist and she immediately apologised and said, ‘this was a single room that had recently been converted into a double’!! She offered to change our room, but this is not what anyone expects when one books at a smart hotel at a room rate which is not insignificant. Single rooms are single, not double and should never be sold as such. The first time in my life I have experienced this. The room in addition to being tiny and dark (almost nonexistent lighting), had a side light and bathroom shaving mirror both about to collapse. We told the Receptionist as a hefty deposit had been taken apparently for ‘theft’ and damages. I suspect management would have taken both items off our deposit had we not noted these with Reception. The room was very noisy at night (we switched off our A/C entirely) and still the noise continued above us. It stopped momentarily, only to start again. So if you want to stay in a tiny room (please don’t tell me the size is on the website), with appalling lighting, be kept awake at night, feel as though you are untrustworthy and has a broken light and mirror, avoid this at all costs. There are plenty of other hotels in Fontainebleau probably at better price with far better basic facilities.
