    Friendly and Good Location

    rating24 May 2026

Great location. Very walkable to other parts of Saint Germain and Latin Quarter, but also several transit options available. Very clean, and oh so comfortable beds. Staff were very friendly and helpful.Another reviewer stated it felt more like a hostel, and I would agree with this statement due to the fun decor. (Nothing bad.) Several floors do hear the metro starting at 6.00 am. But it was fairly quiet most of the night. Proper kettle in the room with free tea and coffee. In terms of breakfast, not worth the extra cost. The cafe itself is good, so go a grab a coffee and pastry separately.

This is the cutest hotel!!! Very comfy beds and comfortable layout plenty of space for small suitcases. We loved our stay. All the workers were very helpful. Cafe attached has delicious food. You are able to drop your bag off if you get in before check in time. Hope to go back soon!! Delightful stay in Paris

    rating11 Sept 2025

This hotel was absolutely delightful. The room was small (this is Paris) but well appointed and newly refurbished. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The towels and linens were fresh and of good quality. There was a rumble from the metro that passes underneath the building but we were not disturbed at all and slept soundly (5th floor). The lift goes as far as the 5th floor. Complimentary coffee and tea were available in the lobby. The location was unbeatable; walkable to the Louvre, St. Sulpice, Musee D'Orsay and other attractions, but the Metro station was a block away for adventuring farther. There were many excellent restaurants and boulangeries within walking distance as well as a large Monoprix market and the Poilane bakery was a 5 minute walk. Could not imagine staying anywhere else if we return to Paris. Harold S, Service clients/Réception at Hotel la Folie des Pres, responded to this review Dear nogatraveler,Thank you for your wonderful review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at La Folie des Prés and appreciated the newly refurbished room, our attentive staff, and the quality of the linens and towels. We are also glad that the metro noise did not disturb your sleep and that you enjoyed the convenient location, close to the Louvre, Saint-Sulpice, Musée d'Orsay, and many restaurants and bakeries. It was a pleasure hosting you and we look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Paris.Kind regards,The Team at La Folie des Prés

    Super Choice Very Happy

    rating26 Aug 2025

The team at la Folie is a very solid set. I selected my room via Booking.com (which was my mistake- never! again). But, the team here at la Folie is young, they are smart, talented, extending/ generous....etc. I loved my time late August for (4) nights when city was empty of parisians and, was only for us, tourists, had the entire city to ourselves with amazing weather. The design of hotel is playful as photos show and the location is super. It is down the street from Le Bon Marche (best in town). Easy access to ' all- as there is 'in Paris. Also, across the street are two perfect cafes. Other direction you can hang out in a 5-Star Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, or other direction to the touristy Latin Quarter. Perfect wedge.Lastly: I was happy but..... Rooms are a tad small- ish. And, when in Paris, who hangs out in a hotel room?>!??! Harold S, Service clients/Réception at Hotel la Folie des Pres, responded to this review Dear ocean88,Thank you for your wonderful review. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay at La Folie des Prés, from our team and the playful hotel design to our central location near Le Bon Marché and the cafés.We are glad you could fully enjoy Paris in August, and we agree that our cozy rooms are perfect for relaxing after exploring the city.It was a pleasure hosting you and we look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Paris.Kind regards,The Team at La Folie des Prés

    A great find!

A fantastic little hotel tucked away in the heart of St. Germain. Walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Cafe de Flore, Deux Magots and lots of restaurants and cafes. Loved it!Rooms are tiny but no need to spend time in it - you are in Paris! You can hear the metro rumble by but it didn’t stop me from having a good sleep. Definitely recommend it! Harold S, Service clients/Réception at Hotel la Folie des Pres, responded to this review Dear TJFFitz2,Thank you for your lovely review. We’re delighted you enjoyed our central Saint Germain location and the nearby sights and cafés.We’re glad the room size and metro noise didn’t affect your stay and that you could enjoy Paris to the fullest. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!Kind regards,The Team at La Folie des Prés
