Located in the Latin quarter, near the Jardin du Luxembourg, a few minutes' walk away from Panthéon, Sorbonne, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Montparnasse and the Notre Dame cathedral. The bus stop is on the hotel's doorstep. Paris Orly Airport is situated at a distance of approximately 30 kilometres, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport some 40 kilometres, Beauvais Tillé Airport roughly 60 kilometres and Brussels Airport is about 200 kilometres away.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1920. The hotel has 6 single rooms and 44 double rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing.     This was my first time in Paris, and my partner and I stayed at this hotel because a friend of ours was also staying there.The photos didn’t show the real size of the rooms—they’re tiny—but overall still comfortable. I’m 190 cm tall and my feet were hanging off the bed when I slept, but it was still fairly comfortable.I think most hotels in Paris within this price range are similar. Here are a few things about this one:It’s close to the subway (about 3 blocks).If you go in the summer, the AC might not work well. One of the nights, the AC didn’t work at all and was stuck at 22°C.The €18 breakfast was fine, but there was no hot food.The staff was very helpful (special thanks to Jean Charles).There’s a small market right next to the hotel where you can grab snacks and drinks.My room didn’t face the street, so it was very quiet. The only sound I noticed was the subway.Overall: 4/5. This approach is also beneficial for the planet and aligns with our ecological commitment. However, it is possible, on request at the reception, to adjust the temperature slightly lower if needed.     Opposite Luxembourg Gardens, this hotel is in a sensational neighbourhood. It's close to Luxembourg Metro and everything is walkable. Hotel room is tiny, bed comfortable, bathroom beyond tiny. We are not big people, that bathroom was tough! Housekeeping staff wonderful. Location great, but we wouldn't stay here again.     We booked our stay at Hotel Des Mines 10 months prior to travel We specifically chose this lovely hotel for its ideal central location & spacious rooms as seen in pictures On two separate occasions I emailed the hotel requesting a double room situated on the high floor room We arrived 4 hours late due to airline disruption & was told by the night porter the lift was broken & we had a small double room on the second floor. The next morning I spoke to the manager & was informed they had no availability on the High floor despite booking this well in advance but we were offered a bigger room for an extra 30€ a night We chose to remain in the small double room & found the bed extremely comfortable & slept really well The mornings we sat down to a lovely continental breakfast but found if we arrived after 9.15am the staff were a little slow to clear tables & replenish the yogurts etc… Overall I would recommend this delightful hotel Hotel des mines Paris, Service clients/Réception at Hotel Des Mines, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you sincerely for sharing your detailed feedback.
