    A mixed bag

    rating31 Jan 2026

We'd stayed here twice years ago, but after some minor thefts decided to stay away. We gave it another chance, and nothing was stolen. The rooms are small, but the bed is comfortable. It's impossible to turn around in the shower, and one day, taking a shower after breakfast, there was almost no hot water. Breakfast is fine. The reception staff was variable. Fahed was delightfully cheerful. He was wonderful, friendly, and helpful and really wanted to make sure our stay was a good one. Other staff was less so, one young woamn watching and saying nothing as we pressed the button for a temporarily out of service elevator and shrugging when i complained abut the hot water. The location is great. A mixed bag, on the poisitive side all in all. Tomasz S, Directeur général at Hotel des Nations St-Germain, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your feedback and for giving us another chance to welcome you back. We’re glad to hear that you found our location convenient and the bed comfortable, and that your experience with Fahed at reception was so positive—he will be thrilled to know his efforts made your stay enjoyable. We sincerely apologize for the small size of the rooms and the shower challenges, as well as the issues with hot water and the elevator. Your comments regarding inconsistent service among our team are taken very seriously, and we will address these points with our staff to ensure a more consistent and attentive experience for all guests. We appreciate your balanced perspective and hope that, despite the mixed experience, you were still able to enjoy your time in the city. We would love the opportunity to make your next stay fully positive.

Our room is small as a mouse hole.

    rating28 Nov 2025

Little space unbelievable they expect me to put our luggage's in our room they is so little room that our bathroom at the country we live in is bigger then the whole room we sleep in. NEVER COME HERE Unless you want little room Tomasz S, Directeur général at Hotel des Nations St-Germain, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that the size of the room did not meet your expectations. Our rooms do follow the typical Parisian hotel standards, where space is often more limited compared to other countries, but we understand that this can still feel disappointing. We would have been happy to explore alternative options during your stay, depending on availability, to ensure you felt more comfortable. Please feel free to contact us directly if you decide to give us another chance — we will do our best to help you choose a room that better suits your needs. We genuinely appreciate your comments, as they help us improve the experience for all our guests.

Excellent location, great breakfast, lovely staff.

    rating20 Nov 2025

The type of hotel we were looking for honestly. It gave us a place to sleep and a very good breakfast. It is modern and clean. The rooms are small but that's to be expected in Europe. The location is excellent, honestly couldn't be better located even if it wanted to.I want to give a special shout-out to the personnel. Everyone was fantastic. Incredibly helpful and kind. Specially Fahed. He genuinely went above and beyond to helps us with any problem we had. He even managed to get my mother and I another room with separate beds when the one that was given to us was one big bed despite being with high occupation. Fahed, thank you for everything, you are great.I do need to knock down some points on the cleanliness of the room, particularly the carpet, it had quite a bit of stains.Other than that, really comfortable hotel that gave my mother and I a great base of operations from where to plan our day to day activites.Hope to be back soon! Tomasz S, Directeur général at Hotel des Nations St-Germain, responded to this review Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed feedback! We’re delighted to hear that our hotel met your expectations and provided exactly what you were looking for — a comfortable place to rest, a great breakfast, and an unbeatable location. It’s also great to know that you appreciated the modern, clean environment and understood the typical room sizes in Europe.Your kind words about our team truly mean a lot to us. We’re especially pleased to hear how much Fahed was able to assist you and your mother during your stay. He will be very happy to know that his efforts made such a positive difference. We appreciate your comment regarding the carpet. Your feedback is very important, and we have already shared it with our housekeeping team so we can improve this aspect promptly. We’re glad our hotel served as a great base for your trip, and we sincerely hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you and your mother back again soon!

    Good hotel, excellent location

    rating14 Oct 2025

The best thing about this hotel was its location, a block away from two different metro lines, a block to tons of restaurants on Rue Mouffetard, easy walk to Ile de la Cite, Notre Dame, etc. There were two boulangeries on the block for a quick breakfast, as well as a grocery a few doors down for some drinks/snacks to keep in the room.My only con is the complete lack of storage space in the room. We expect hotels to be small in Europe but not having a single drawer or shelf, and no room to keep suitcases open made it very hard to access our clothing or to walk around the room. On the flip side, the bathroom was very large by European standards.Note: I booked through TripAdvisor and was guaranteed a quadruple room, which is why we booked here. Upon arrival I was told our reservation was for a double and that was all that was available. This is not a negative on the hotel as they showed me the confirmation they received which clearly says 'double'. But a warning about booking with a third party as the information did not come through correctly. The hotel did the best it could to meet my needs, at least putting us in a room with two twin beds. But NOT what I had paid for and reserved. I've filed a complaint with Trip Advisor. Tomasz S, Directeur général at Hotel des Nations St-Germain, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your recent stay with us. We’re very pleased to hear that you enjoyed our central location near Rue Mouffetard, the metro, and many of Paris’s main attractions. It’s wonderful to know that you appreciated the nearby cafés, bakeries, and shops as well — the neighborhood is truly special. We’re sorry, however, to learn about the inconvenience you experienced regarding storage space in the room. Your comments are valuable, and we will certainly review possible improvements to make our rooms more comfortable for future guests.Regarding your booking issue, we appreciate your understanding that the discrepancy originated from the third-party platform. We’re glad our team was able to find a suitable alternative and we always recommend booking directly with the hotel to ensure all details are accurate and preferences can be better accommodated.Thank you once again for your feedback and for recognizing our efforts. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future for an even more enjoyable stay.Warm regards,

    Not up to expectations

    rating05 Oct 2025

Our first visit to Paris and from conversations with others who have visited we knew to expect tight accommodations. However, the twin we were given should only be utilized by children with no baggage. There is absolutely no space for 2 grown adults to maneuver. One suggestion: move the oversized safe from the only shelf and put it on the top level where an extra pillow is uselessly taking up space. This opens up the lower shelf to at least store an unopened carry on. Although the size is what it is, there were other shortfalls with this room that can be fixed, and should be: the carpet is filthy and deeply stained. The room itself smells musty, probably due to the carpet. We were leaving windows open much of the time we were there to offset it. The bathroom had no floor mat for the tile, no tub mat, and the shower head slides down the rod, forcing you to hold it with one hand while trying to wash, instead of it locking in place. The shower has a weird swinging door, making the floor extremely wet and dangerously slippery stepping out of the high tub. There are no wash cloths provided, and only 2 towels. There was one tiny bottle of shampoo. The tv did not work when we first arrived. We called the desk to ask for an alternate room and were told none was available until the 2nd day of our 4 day stay. The young lady at the desk did bring additional towels and coffee packets. Then upon checkout we were charged for the coffee. Same with bottled water. There was one in the fridge when we got there. When we asked for more water the next day we were told it would cost 1,15 each. Upon checkout, we were charged for the coffee. The bed itself was comfortable and the room quiet, even with the windows open for ventilation. Location is also convenient. However we will look for other options if we are ever fortunate enough to return to Paris. Tomasz S, Directeur général at Hotel des Nations St-Germain, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback following your recent stay with us. We are truly sorry to learn that your experience did not fully meet your expectations, and we sincerely regret the inconveniences you encountered. Please accept our apologies for the issues regarding room size, cleanliness, and bathroom equipment. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure that these matters are addressed promptly. We also appreciate your constructive suggestions about the safe and storage space — we will certainly take them into consideration as we continue improving our guest experience. We are, however, pleased to know that you found the bed comfortable, the room quiet, and our location convenient. We’re also glad our front desk team could assist you with additional amenities during your stay.We hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide you with the improved and comfortable experience you rightfully expected.
