    Great location on left bank. All the staff were wonderful. Our room was extremely small but adequate. Breakfast was only ok. It was the same every day. We would stay here again because of location.

    L'EDEN DU LYS 5 day stay was very good

    Very nice 1 BR apt. Fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of very hot water. No complaints. Would gladly stay here again. Sofa bed can accommodate extra persons. We did not use it, so cannot comment.

    Hundreds of bedbug bites

    I booked Aug 2-6, 2025 with my two daughters. We ended up covered in hundreds of bedbug bites. The hotel said they would issue a refund for our stay. It has been nearly 3 months and no refund despite multiple emails. My arms are permanently scarred from the severe bedbug bites. Avoid like the plague.

    We arrived at the hotel to find that the booking company had messed everything up. The hotel manager was first-class and quickly provided a solution. If you like Parisian boutique hotels with loads of character then this is the place for you. It exudes 17th and 18th century charm and character, with its exposed wooden beams, antique furniture and portraiture scattered throughout the rooms and halls. The beds were fine, and spare pillows and covers were available in the closet, if required. The location is perfect for trips to Notre Dame, the Louvre, Pantheon etc., and is surrounded on all sides by a multitude boullions, brasseries, cafes, pubs and restaurants of all description and quality. No issues in regard to safety anywhere in the neighbourhood and all of the staff I dealt with and met in the passing were exceptionally helpful and friendly. My wife and I travel to Paris twice a year and this is the place for us from now on.

    Based on Tripadvisor reviews, we booked the hotel for six-nights. Our experience was exactly what we expected. This is a special hotel. It provides all the amenities that a 21st-century might require, in the style of a 17th-century apartment building. As first-time visitors to Paris, the Hotel du Lys served as a seamless gateway to the charms of the St. Michel Notre-Dame and St. Germain districts. Additionally, the management is truly responsive to their customers. The front desk and hotel service staff met our every request with sincere courtesy.
