    AVOID: Misleading Website and Dirty Room

    The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The rest of our two-night stay was a terrible experience.1. Deceptive Booking: Their website is designed to trick you. I tried to book an "Deluxe view" room with view of the Eiffel tower. I opened their Rooms overview and used the "Book now" option on their deluxe view room. When it was unavailable for my dates, the site never told me. It just kept the "Deluxe View Room" title on the booking page while actually showing me standard rooms. Even pricing the "Deluxe view Superior room" (which was just a superior room) higher than the normal Superior rooms. To make it worse, the confirmation email also doesn't tell you what room you actually have and just leads you to some general vague info about the hotel.2. Poor Service: Since I did not trust all of this I contacted them to confirm the view and parking. The hotel waited until the day of check-in to tell me I didn't have the view and parking wasn't included, leaving us no time to rebook.3. Dirty/Broken Room: The room was small, not clean, and the shower was bad (the hose was too short to even reach the wall holder).4. Careless Staff: The cleaning staff knocked my girlfriend's makeup onto the floor and left it there.Do not stay here. This hotel seems to rely on a good location to get away with misleading practices and poor-quality rooms. You can find much better for your money. We understand the process you used to book and the fact that you wanted to book a Deluxe room with view but when you select a date, only available rooms are displayed, so it can be a classic room or a superior room, as well as a deluxe room with view. But it is clearly stated next to the pictures which type of room it is, as well as the area, the type of bed etc. Unfortunately, for your stay, all rooms with a view were already booked so the website proposed the other types available with all the different prices (non refundable, flexible, brekafats included…). This is a very common practice (called yield management) with any hotel booking engine, as well as for an airline or a train. On your screenshot, it shows clearly that the price on the top is a flexible offer and the one at the bottom a non refundable rate, which is cheaper.2. Concerning your reservation, you asked if the room had a “view guaranteed.” We responded that the room you booked did not have a view of the Eiffel Tower (see your second screenshot). After completing the booking, you received a confirmation by email which shows clearly that you booked a superior room and not a deluxe room with view.3. We are sorry that the room size disappointed you. All the information about the size and facilities of the room were mentioned on the website as well as in your confirmation. Regarding cleanliness, we are very sorry to hear that you found it not clean and the shower not practical. This feedback is something we take into account very seriously.4. We apologize again regarding the broken item. Our housekeeping staff informed us immediately when it happened. We also informed you upon your return and we were ready to offer a discount for the inconvenience bu your girlfriend replied that it was not a big deal and that such things happen and that the make up was not worth a refund. Nevertheless we are still willing to compensate the broken make up and are waiting for your input on this matter.We are truly sorry that your overall experience reflects disappointment, especially for not having a room with a view, but unfortunately these rooms were not available on your travel dates.We hope to welcome you back for a better experience on your next trip to Paris, please contact us directly and we will be more than happy to provide you with a “Deluxe View Room” or the “Eiffel Suite ».Kind regards

    A little gem in a good location.

    A little gem very close to the of main attraction, The Eiffel Tower.It provides a small but very attractive hotel in a prime location . Close to Metro, Tour bus stops and of course the Eiffel Tower. We stayed in a classic room without breakfast. You can get a glimpse of the tower through your window. The room is small but good layout. Clean and a comfortable bed. Bathroom is quite big for the room and is nice and tidy. Reception, staff is good and is manned 24h.There is no proper bar but you can have a drink in the small lounge area near the reception . Can not say anything about breakfast but the breakfast room was in the cellar and maybe not the mot appealing. This is actually a very good hotel, reasonably priced in an easy accessible area.     Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights this weekend. Lovely welcome and all staff were very friendly and helpful! Hotel is 2 mins from the metro and a 10 min water from the Eiffel Tower which was great. Room was small but not really an issue. A few niggles though….1, Jacuzzi bath did not work 2, Breakfast was very limited and the room where you eat had no atmosphere / windows, not even the radio on. Food choice was a bit dull and wish we gone out for breakfast as disappointed I had booked this as part of the deal.     The hotel is in a very good location, 2 blocks from the Eiffel Tower. The area around the hotel is wonderful, nice cafes and a bakery close by. The hotel rooms are small but that’s common for Paris, the hotel was immaculate, very friendly and courteous staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel.     We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Eiffel Trocadero. The area around the boutique hotel was very safe and had many local restaurants and boulangeries to choose from. Many interesting sites were a short walk including the Eiffel Tower. Our hotel room was clean, the beds/pillows were very comfortable, the decor was nice, and we had an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower at night. All of the staff were pleasant, friendly and very helpful. A special thanks to Kimberly and especially, Ewa at the front desk. She was extremely kind and helpful to us. She is a credit to your establishment. We will definitely recommend your hotel to our American friends.
