This hotel is a beat up, run down mess, $500 a night is a joke, save yourself the pain, look somewhere else. , Autre at Hotel Europe Saint Severin, responded to this review Dear Robert,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Perfect hotel for a family

    rating22 Apr 2026

I can only recommend this hotel! We stayed here as a family of three with a 13 month old baby and everybody was so friendly and helpful and did everything to make us feel comfortable. I was sceptical to travelling to Paris with a baby but this hotel and Paris in general proved me wrong. Location is perfect with walking distance to both Notre-Dame and Le Louvren. We got a room with balcony on fifth floor with nice view over the small streets of Latin Quarter. Special thanks to Mattias and Louis for being extra friendly to our little daugther, I hope we see you again in near future! , Autre at Hotel Europe Saint Severin, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you so much for your wonderful reviewWe are truly delighted that your stay in Paris with your family—and especially your little one—was such a positive experience. Your kind words about our team mean a great deal, and we will gladly share them with Mattias and Louis, who will be touched by your mentionWe’re also happy you enjoyed our location in the heart of the Latin Quarter, just a short walk from Notre-Dame and the Louvre, as well as your room with a balcony and its charming view.It would be a pleasure to welcome you again very soon for another Parisian stay.Warm regards,The Reception TeamHotel Europe Saint-Séverin

    Overrated with what was reality!

The hotel is tired ! Things are starting to break down ! We had the suite which was unique on the 6th level. The air conditioner was leaking water for 3 days ! Elevator only goes to the 5th , Autre at Hotel Europe Saint Severin, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay at the Hotel Europe Saint Séverin. We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience you encountered during your stay. Our hotel is composed of two connected buildings, and while the elevator serves the 6th floor, the two parts of this level are not connected internally due to the original structure of the property. We fully understand this may have affected your comfort, and we truly regret it.We are also sorry for the issue you experienced with the air conditioning. Please rest assured this has been taken seriously by our technical team.We hope that, despite these inconveniences, you were still able to fully enjoy your Parisian experience and the charm of the cityWarm regards,The Reception Team

We had a great stay at Hotel Europe Saint Severin!

    rating15 Apr 2026

We stayed here for a total of four nights on two different occasions a week apart. First, the location is 10 stars. We had so much fun staying in the lively Quartier Latin and there are tons of restaurants just steps away along with grocery stores, shops, etc. Notre Dame and the Seine are a 5 to 10-minute walk. We also walked to the Louvre, the Jardin du Luxembourg, Musee d'Orsay, and even the Eiffel Tower. The latter is a 40-minute walk but there's lots to see on the way. The hotel is easily walkable to a few different Metro stations as well. As for the hotel itself, I would fully recommend it but I'm giving it four stars instead of five for a couple of reasons listed below. The lobby is nicely appointed and the staff is friendly and speaks English very well if necessary. The elevator is handy and arrives quickly. We loved the ability to open the giant w4indows and let the breeze blow in. The rooms were clean. No issues there. The main issue is the rooms are very small. I have rarely stayed in a hotel room that small and we have traveled a lot. I highly recommend the upgrade to a larger room so you have a place to put your suitcase. We stayed in two different rooms and the one with a balcony was worth the extra because of the extra square feet. Second, although a small quibble, they don't provide as many products for the price point as I'd expect. There is a small tube of body lotion and a dispenser of body wash/shampoo in the shower. Shampoo and conditioner would be a nice upgrade for $300 a night. The third issue is something that didn't bother us but is worth noting. The noise coming from the street (garbage trucks, people yelling, etc.) can be loud. I like street noise personally, but it did wake me up a couple of times.I wish breakfast was included. The 14-euro breakfast was just continental and we didn't eat it because there are so many creperies and other restaurants nearby. I've stayed at many hotels at this price point and most included a simple continental breakfast.A bonus--the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was delicious and one of the best meals we ate in Paris. I highly recommend the burrata appetizer with the mango and avocado. Sounds weird, but it was good!Overall, way more good than bad! , Autre at Hotel Europe Saint Severin, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you so much for your lovely feedback following your stay at the Hotel Europe Saint Séverin. We are delighted that you enjoyed our exceptional location in the heart of the Quartier Latin, as well as the cleanliness of the rooms, the charm of the hotel, and the warm welcome from our team. Amazing location

    rating12 Apr 2026

My family of four stayed in a junior suite on the 6th floor. It was perfect for us! We had the sofa pulled out into two twin beds and still had room to move around without being on top of each other. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Best of all, it was right near the RER B that got us to/from CDG and Gare du Nord, RER C to Eiffel Tower, the metro for everything else, and walking distance to so many things. We stayed with kids and so it was great to have so many casual restaurants and at least two food markets within a one block walk. One note - there's plenty of privacy in the suite. When I booked the room months ago I hesitated and almost didn't because I saw an older review that talked about there being little privacy except for the toilet. I'm glad I ignored that and booked it anyway because that wasn't the case in 2026. The shower has a door and the upstairs bedroom has curtains that can be pulled shut to block the view from the downstairs (not that my kids looked up from their phones when unwinding after exhausting days of sightseeing). , Autre at Hotel Europe Saint Severin, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us.We are delighted to hear that the Junior Suite was a perfect fit for your family and that you enjoyed both the comfort of the room and our central location in the heart of the Latin Quarter It’s also lovely to know that our team, nearby transport connections, and the many restaurants and markets around the hotel helped make your Paris stay even more enjoyable. Thank you as well for mentioning the privacy in the suite — we truly appreciate your detailed feedback and are very happy that the layout suited your family so well.We hope to welcome you all again very soon for another Parisian adventureWarm regards,The Europe Saint Séverin Team
