    Amazing and highly recommended

    rating30 Sept 2025

We were getting married in Paris and chose this hotel due to its location and good size junior suite which I needed for my wedding morning!Alex and her team could not have done more in the months leading up to the wedding helping me with boat trip ideas, restaurant ideas even going out of her way to help source us a small cake for our wedding evening. Alex even called me personally a few weeks prior to us to arriving to see if they could help us in any ways! The hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff were fantastic! Location is perfect too! They made our French wedding experience so amazing with no stress and I cannot recommend this hotel enough! We will be back and would not stay anywhere else in Paris! Well done to all the staff Louis Le Gall, Directeur général at Hotel France D'antin Opera, responded to this review Dear Kathryn and Niall,What a joy it was to read your wonderful words! On behalf of the whole team, thank you so much for sharing such a special moment of your life with us. It was truly an honour to assist you in preparing for your wedding day and to make your stay in Paris as stress-free and memorable as possible.I am personally so touched by your kind mention, it was an absolute pleasure to help you with your plans and to be part, in a small way, of such a beautiful celebration. We are delighted that you enjoyed the junior suite, the hotel, and the service from our staff. Knowing that your Parisian wedding experience was made even more magical here is the greatest reward for us.We cannot wait to welcome you back. With all my warmest regards,Alex

Fell in love with Paris staying in 2nd Arrondissement made this possible and perfect!!

    rating26 Aug 2025

The absolute best stay and staff in Paris. I fell in love with the city being in the 2nd Arrondissement!! The hotels receptionist Alexandra and Barman Georgi could not do enough for us. All our travel connections and needs for many translations were sorted so quickly and the service was second to none. Great price and amenities for being so close to everything. No need for taxis and fabulous, scenic walks every day! Louis Le Gall, Directeur général at Hotel France D'antin Opera, responded to this review Dear Madam,Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! I’m truly delighted to hear that your stay in Paris was such a memorable experience for you. It was a real pleasure assisting you with your travel arrangements and translations.I will also make sure to share your kind words with Georgi, who will be very happy to know he helped make your visit special. We hope to have the joy of welcoming you back again soon for more Parisian walks and discoveries!Warm regards,Alexandra - Reception desk

    Extremely Disappointed with Cancellation Policy

    rating01 Aug 2025

I booked a reservation for August 2025 well in advance, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed to cancel. I followed the proper procedure and received what I believed was a cancellation approval. However, the hotel refused to honor it, claiming the booking was for a future date and therefore non-refundable — despite being contacted with plenty of notice. This has been frustrating and unacceptable. I’ve had better experiences with customer service at other hotels who understand that plans change, especially when there’s clear documentation of a cancellation request.I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who values flexibility, fairness, or transparency in their travel bookings. The “Manager” even take make call (Carol) what a disgusting person Louis Le Gall, Directeur général at Hotel France D'antin Opera, responded to this review Dear Monsieur and Madam,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While we regret that you were disappointed, we would like to clarify several important points.First and foremost, we must strongly object to your comment regarding our team member Carol. You never spoke with her directly, so, personal and disrespectful remarks are not only inappropriate but also entirely unfounded. We expect respectful dialogue, as we always aim to treat our guests with courtesy and professionalism. We would like to point out that no cancellation request was ever made prior to your arrival, nor have we received any such request since. This contradicts your claim of having followed a cancellation procedure in advance. Furthermore, regarding your reservation, it was clearly booked for August 2026, not 2025. Unfortunately, when you arrived at the hotel on August 2nd, 2025, without a valid reservation for that date, we were fully booked and unable to accommodate you. You have booked a non-refundable reservation for next year, and as stated in the conditions, such bookings cannot be modified or canceled without penalty. While we often show goodwill, in your case, considering the tone and behavior towards our staff, we will strictly apply the terms of the reservation. Our night receptionist did his best to assist you under difficult circumstances, clearly explaining the situation, and helping you find another hotel, going beyond his responsibilities out of kindness. We expect our guests to treat our staff with the same respect and courtesy that we offer in return. As it was already 11 PM on a busy Saturday, he advised that the matter could be followed up the next day. Despite this, you pressured and harassed our receptionist to contact his supervisor late at night ; something we consider unacceptable.Your booking for August 2026 remains valid, and we will be expecting you then. No alternative arrangements or exceptions will be made.Best regards,Alexandra – Reception desk

Little gem within a central location

    rating24 Oct 2024

I stayed here in September for 3 nights. I can honestly say this is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff (Alexandra, Ines & Jordan are the only ones whose names I can remember) were super helpful & polite. Even from before arrival, when I was emailing with queries that I had. It’s in a great location, only 15 minutes walk from the Louvre but you could walk to most places from there. It’s also less than 5 minutes from the metro station. Plenty of bars & restaurants within walking distance. I paid slightly more for a superior room & both the room & bathroom were more than big enough. It’s a boutique hotel with charm & smells delicious as soon as you walk through the doors. Even coming in from a night out a little later when the bar was closed the night porters sorted us out drinks & we settled into the comfy lounge. Breakfast is also great (for a small surcharge) - a delicious continental but with plenty of it & a few little extras like fruit, yoghurt & boiled eggs if you like. If you want a central independent hotel, with staff who recognise you then this is the hotel for you. I can’t wait to return. Louis Le Gall, Directeur général at Hotel France D'antin Opera, responded to this review Dear Michelle,Thank you so much for your amazing review! We are thrilled to read that you had such a memorable stay with us.It's nice to know that you appreciated our central location, just a short walk from iconic spots like the Louvre, as well as the nearby metro and local restaurants. We are especially grateful for your kind words about our team. I, Ines, and Jordan are very happy to hear that we made your stay even more enjoyable. We strive to provide a warm and personalized experience, and we're glad to know that our efforts, from the welcoming atmosphere to the comfortable lounge and delicious breakfast, made such a positive impression.Thank you for recommending us, and we can't wait to welcome you back on your next visit to Paris!I wish you a lovely day,Best regards,Alexandra

Homey and Nice Hotel in Central Paris

    rating12 Oct 2024

Located at central Paris, very close to many tourist attractions such as Opera Garnier, Place Vandome and many restaurants, shops and metro stations. I like the interior in the room which is designed in details, unusual wall paper, antique telephone. There is free a compliment bottle of water provided every day, faboulus toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. I was arrived early and my room has not been ready. But, to my surprise, I could stay in the cozy living room in the basement with some sofas and television. Ines and Alesandra were very helpful. Louis Le Gall, Directeur général at Hotel France D'antin Opera, responded to this review Good Morning,We would like to thank you very much for your excellent feedback! We're delighted to read that you enjoyed our central location and the close proximity to Paris' key attractions, as well as the local restaurants and shops. We're also pleased to know that you appreciated the thoughtful design of your room and the little touches like the vintage wallpaper and antique telephone. We are thrilled to know that our front desk staff were helpful during your stay and that their efforts made a positive impact on your experience.Thank you again for your kind review, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Paris in the future!Warm Regard,Alexandra - Reception desk
