    Don’t go there!!!!!

Don’t go there!!!!Would not recommend there was fleas in the room and hair on the bed sheets. The staff were very unhelpful. Even after changing room there was still hair on the bed sheets. There is a cat that walks around the hotel. And mould was on the shower and shower head. The breakfast is very poor only get croissants and yogurts, not a vary of food at all. The price of the hotel is very overvalued for what you get. Location is okay not in the nicest of areas, but seems to be in walking distance to what you want.

A good place to spend a few nights.

I had a good stay at the hotel Havane Opera. Easy to locate, rather friendly staff - and Clèment was absolutely the epitome of servicable angel. My room, single room was ok, but no air condition. The window opened to the backyard - so not much movement in the air. It got somewhat warm and stuffy in the room - even in March. The shower had surprisingly good water pressure, and the towels were fluffy and soft. Hotel was also helpful with calling for a taxi for me, as I was going to a concert. WiFi must be bought, but it wasn't an issue for me anyways. Very central, just downside Rue de LaFayette, rather close to Gare du Nord and a very sweet little green area, Parc Montholon. Also both pharmacie and grocery shop almost next to the hotel.

We had issues unlocking our room with the key, and a senior member of staff/ manager immediately blamed us for "messing with the lock, even though the cleaning staff come in every day when we go out so they were the last people in the room. Their tone was condescending and we were spoken to as if we were children, which was completely unnecessary. To make things even stranger, the staff took our key and kept it at reception without explaining why. Only later did we find out-by chance-that we were expected to return the key every time we left the hotel. This was never mentioned at check-in, which caused even more confusion. The room itself was outdated, the Wi-Fi barely worked, and overall the facilities felt neglected. The only real positive was the location, which was convenient for getting around.

The room was very small for two people's and very hot with any view from window.Pillows with steam we put towels on the top, carpet dirty only bathroom was ok.Towels changed every day and mattress comfortable this is only a good thing .We had only one day breakfast in the hotel and is absolutly disappointed 😞 decided eat outside hotel same price and was delicious every coffee shops around. Staff was friendly but seems like don't want help with some complaints about room.

Booked a room for one person for one night, on arrival I was informed I need to pay €10.40 city tax. I queried why it was so high as I checked online and it was €5-something and was told this is what it is. I asked to pay by card (as one of their USP's is being cashless) and was told cash only so I had to go and withdraw money before I can check in. Pros:Friendly check in staff Quick check in Cons: Room not cleaned properly No heating facility in room Bedding clean but bed was not made well/sheets left untucked No kettle/coffee making facility - you can buy a coffee downstairs for €3 OVERCHARGED TOURIST TAX! Hair found with 'clean towels' and small hair stuck on wall in bathroom The room, although basic and dated is really what you pay for. Although, I had stayed at other hotels within this area with similar price points that at least offer adjustable heating/coffee facilities and mini fridge(you can ask for a fridge for your room for €25). The bedding was clean (bed was not made properly) and there was also some kind of dissolving tablet under the bed, I assume from the previous guest. Bathroom was clean except for towel area wuere there was hair on therail and also wall. No kettle in the room either and they charge €3 for coffee. I booked this last minute and only needed somewhere to rest in the evening and although I am not too fussy with accommodation I would not recommend or book again. It's better to spend an additional €10 and stay somewhere that will not overcharge tourist tax and also give you better ammenities and clean properly.
