  Excellent stay with great location and family-friendly setup

  We had an excellent stay at ibis Paris Gare du Nord, travelling as a family and booking interconnecting rooms, which worked perfectly for us.The rooms were on the smaller side, but comfortable. As we were out exploring most of the day, this suited us perfectly and didn’t impact our stay.The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout, which made a real difference.One of the highlights was the courtyard area — a great space to sit, relax, and unwind after a day exploring the city.The location is very convenient. It’s about a 5-minute walk from Gare du Nord station, with plenty of eateries and patisseries nearby. The metro is also only a short walk, making it easy to get around and access all the main Paris attractions.We were also able to walk to Sacré-Cœur in around 10 minutes, which was a real bonus.The area is busy, but we felt safe throughout our stay.While the hotel is slightly out of the main central tourist areas, this didn’t bother us at all and actually made for a quieter, more relaxed stay.Overall, a great option for families looking for comfort, convenience, and friendly service in Paris.   I would like to meet the person like Laure at every reception in every hotel where I go to. The welcome was so friendly - she is always smiling and ready to help.The hotel itself is not new and the condition of the room was not excellent but that was compensated by its location - easy acces from CDG by RER B, close to the metro stations Poissonniere, Garedu Nord et Gare de l'Est with a lot of possibilities to get to any point in Paris.   Nice and quiet with welcoming staff

  I have tried many ibis hotels in Paris. This one might be one of the best. I am surprised it is really quiet even though it is so close to Gare du Nord. Thanks to other travellers reviews so I booked it. Indeed. It was very quiet. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I would give 5 stars if the rooms are a bit bigger but it is Paris and it is for the price. Nice discovery.   Well situated, good hotel for a short stay

  You emerge from the Gare du Nord into a chaos of roadworks and cyclists who stay in their lanes but ignore the red lights and tell you to get out of the way. Take care! The hotel is only a five minute walk (and only about the same from Gare de l'Est) so is ideally situated. On my visit it was covered in scaffolding and painted red (I thought Ibis hotels were green) so I was confused for a moment. The check-in by helpful staff was very straightforward - all the staff I met during my two night stay were very pleasant and helpful. They will ask if you wish to speak French or English. If you wish to practice your French be aware that they tend to speak at French speed! The room was at the front overlooking the busy street but the insulation was such that it was almost silent. As expected the room was small but it had a hanging space, a desk and chair and powerpoints. The bathroom was small but fine and the bed was comfortable. It would be a bit cramped for two. The only disadvantage is that one cannot open the window (the handle is locked) so when you return in the evening it may be a bit stuffy. I took breakfast each day. At 13.90 euros it is good value by hotel standards. There is a small garden at the back where I took a beer on the first evening and which, again, is very quiet despite the traffic only a short distance away. Overall, an excellent choice for a short stay.
