Just a stone’s throw from the most famous avenue in the world, the Champs Elysées, and just around the corner from the Triangle d’Or, the hotel’s sandstone façade stands proud on Rue de Berri, in Paris’ 8th arrondissement. The surroundings of the hotel are easily explored on foot, including the prestigious Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the Place de l’Etoile, and the Place de la Concorde. The Eiffel Tower and the Jardin des Tuileries are only 15 minutes away by public transport and is a 20 minute ride to the Louvre Museum. Orly Airport is 20 km away and it is some 30 km to Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1885. 11 suites, 7 single rooms and 39 double rooms are located on 8 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well. Guests of the hotel are welcome to relax in the garden. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage and a car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a DVD player and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Guests can take advantage of the nightly turndown service. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and 1 smoking room.

A sun terrace is a great place to while away the hours. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including cycling/mountain biking, a gym, callisthenics, aerobics, a spa, a sauna and massage treatments. Evening entertainment includes live music.

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. In addition to breakfast, the hotel also offers lunch and dinner à la carte. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request.     We have stayed here during our multiple visits to Paris. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming. Rooms were ornate and breakfast was great. Lovely hotel within a stone’s throw distance from the arc de triumph. Great location for shopping and excellent food options!     Hotel Lancaster delivers a truly elevated experience from arrival to departure. I was warmly received upon arriving via Uber, with immediate luggage assistance and seamless service from the entrance to the front desk. Check-in was smooth, my room was ready, and I was personally guided to my accommodations.The room itself was exceptionally comfortable, featuring elegant touches like a chandelier in the bedroom and a beautifully appointed bathroom that met every need. While there was a brief issue during my stay where a neighboring room’s international converter caused a temporary power outage, it was resolved quickly and efficiently by staff.Breakfast was excellent overall, with a well-rounded complimentary offering that more than satisfied. I did try a few add-on items, including the French toast and scrambled eggs with truffle mushrooms. While both had great potential, they fell slightly short—served a bit cold, with the eggs somewhat watery and lighter on truffle than expected. That said, the standard breakfast alone was more than sufficient.Room service was a highlight, particularly the fish and chips, which was delicious and satisfying, complemented by a fresh bread selection. The hotel facilities are equally impressive, offering both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, as well as a spa. I opted for a massage, which was good overall, though it felt slightly shorter than expected.Additional thoughtful touches—like fresh fruit readily available in the reception area—added to the overall experience. I also found the restaurant convenient and functional for hosting a few meetings before heading to the HEC campus.While I didn’t have a notable view from my room, the comfort and quality of the space more than made up for it. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Lancaster, even for a short stay. It provided a strong, comfortable, and elegant start to my trip.
