  Cannot beat the location

  The hotel is very well situated. It is right next to the Sebastopol-St Denis metro station, and within 20-30 minutes walk of many tourist sites (e.g: The Louvre, Notre-Dame). It is also within walking distance of many restaurants and terraces. The hotel itself is very serviceable. We were in a prestige room (Room 100), which was very spacious (including a very large bed) and kept clean. It did have low ceilings, which would maybe be an issue for a very tall person.There are a few signs of wear in the hotel, but they obviously do try to keep it up. The front desk staff were always friendly and willing to answer questions. Given the location and the quality, we would absolutely stay here again when in Paris.   Good location next to a metro station and a few resteraunts round about. Staff were nice and friendly. The WiFi didn’t work and a few tiles and the stairs were broken.   This hotel was close to metro stations and so many cafes with many different cuisines offered. All staff were very helpful but one was somewhat clueless in the art of customer service. The blow dryer in our room didn’t work and we had a tour booked so we were on a time schedule. I called the front desk to get another and was told the hotel was full and there were no extras and she couldn’t take one from another guest. I certainly didn’t expect her to take one from anyone but to not have an extra that would work, seemed odd. So wth wet hair I was perplexed. 5 minutes later a lovely lady from housekeeping showed up with a perfectly good blow dryer. Then when we were going to leave for the tour we checked with the same front desk person and asked about booking a taxi to the airport for our departure in a couple of days and how long was the taxi ride to Orly. She said she didn’t drive so she wouldn’t know. We chose to give ourselves an hour for the ride, she did book it for us. That was the only complaint, everything else was wonderful from the food to all the other staff. We would have given a 5 star, if not for one person, who maybe should not work in customer service.   Absolutely loved the location of the hotel. Very easy to find from the 4, 8 or 9 metro. The hotel has incredible character, lovely seating areas and a quirky motif. The room was a nice size, clean, very quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The only down side was the fire alarm went off twice around 6am. The night receptionist did not provide any updates or directions; however, the lady at the desk when we checked out provided us clarification. Would most definitely stay at this hotel in the future.
