  Very enjoyable stay here. Highly recommend!

  We had an excellent stay at this hotel. After a long day's journey, we were warmly welcomed at Reception by Jamila. Super friendly and efficient, she had our room key ready, and also indicated where the hotel's underground parking is located (8 euro per night) and very quickly we were in our room. The room was fresh and clean and had a coffee/tea making facility as well as a fridge and the bathroom was equipped with nice soap products and enough towels for our overnight stay. We took the RER into Paris and it was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The next morning we found that the breakfast room was beautifully arranged with a wide variety of foods, juices, as well as a choice of hot drinks and the decor made it a very pleasant place to enjoy your meal in comfort. I would recommend Hotel Mercure Cergy 100% and will definitely stay there again should we be visiting the area.   I booked a room for 2 people but the room had 3 people max capacity. My daughter who is 14 was to stay with family members but plans changed for that one night and was to stay with us instead. Front desk lady did not care or have consideration we came from Canada and we had to book another room! She wouldn’t allow my daughter to stay in the same room. We even offered to pay for another person for our room, she did not listen. Horrible customer service. We had to write in a card and asked for a pen. They asked for the pen back as they didn’t have more. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Never would go back or recommend to others.   Good price/quality ratio offer in Cergy

  Good stay in Cergy, with the usual standard of quality by Accor on Mercure level.Decent rooms, good breakfast and a location close to the train station.It would have another average stay in a mid-range accommodation if it hadn’t been for Jamila at the front desk.She was extremely professional and helpful, helping me solve a few issues during stay.   Mediocre Mercure in a dodgy area

  Check-in was easy. The front desk staff were very friendly at all hours. There are two lifts. The hotel is located in a sketchy area so be mindful of where you walk outside. Even the staff warned us away from certain areas. There are some shopping complexes just a 10-minute walk down the main street, as well as the train station.The room was small and hot. The bed was uncomfortably hard, unfortunately. There were all non-feather pillows and a table on each side. There were also power outlets on each side of the bed--perfect for charging devices at bedside. The room had a mini fridge (yay!) and an electric tea kettle.The bathroom was tiny with scarce counter space. The shower water pressure was ok and the hot water stayed hot, but the shower floor was quite slippery. The towels were very thin. The wall-mounted magnifying mirror was a nice touch but it was broken, stuck facing downward only, rendering it useless. The WiFi was strong but not password protected (boo!). The hotel has a bar (staffed by the friendly front desk personnel) but no restaurant. The whole hotel could use a remodel.I'd prefer to look elsewhere the next time I'm in the area, if there even is anything better.
