  It's a joy staying here. The central location is perfect, the rooms are clean and a window is overlooking the Boulevard. The staff is gentile. A place to return to.

  Dirty but good location but expensive

  On arrival hotel reception said we had 2 single rooms booked but we had one double room prepaid on Bookings.com. On entering the room, we found a very large feces floating in the toilet! Room itself was very tired. It was quite expensive (A$880 for three lights all inclusive 3 nights, but we still got charged tax leaving although Bookings.com said our fee was inclusive if taxes),

  Stay away! Hotel lift was broken, room is outdated, bed feels like an air mattress. We booked this hotel for 1 night stay and we were totally disgusted.   Kind staff who really looked after us

  We stayed at The Originals City, Hôtel Paix République for three nights during our Christmas trip through Europe. What really made our stay stand out were the people, especially Corinne Pairon (Directrice) and Halim Cheref (General Manager).We arrived early after a long flight and didn't expect a room straight away. Corinne greeted us warmly and told us she would do her best to have something ready within the hour, which she did. Over the next few days she helped us more than once with directions and suggestions for places to eat, shop, and explore. Her recommendations were spot on and saved us a lot of time.Halim also went well out of his way for us. My partner is gluten intolerant and while we were waiting for our room he walked us to a nearby café connected to the hotel so we could grab a coffee and breakfast. When he found out she needed gluten-free bread, he actually went to a supermarket nearby, bought a loaf, and made sure she had toast for breakfast. He even gave her the rest of the loaf to take with us. It was a small thing, but it meant a lot and really made her day.Just before we left, we had an issue with being charged twice on our taxi app to the train station. Corinne stepped in immediately, called the taxi company, and sorted it out for us. Neither of us speaks French, so this was a huge relief.Both Corinne and Halim are genuinely kind, approachable people. They didn’t just do their jobs well, they made us feel welcome and looked after. It really reminded us that a hotel is more about the people than the building.The hotel itself is in a convenient location. It felt safe, lively, and very convenient, with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. It’s a good option if you want to stay central without paying luxury prices.We would happily stay here again if we return to Paris, and we’d especially recommend it because of the staff who made our stay so enjoyable.   Staying in Hotel Paix Republique in the heart of Paris is a joy. Every time we come here, we are greeted with a smile by the caring staff. This time, we had a cosy little room on the 4th floor, that included a little balcony. We feel that we just have to return to this hotel every now and then.
