  Scam Alert – Double Charged and No Refund!

  Worst treatment ever.Not only we discovered that the room we booked had no air conditioning — despite several websites stating otherwise — but the hotel also charged us twice for the same stay: once in April and again in July, when the stay was planned.Despite many, MANY mails and back and forth with an elusive "manager" we were met with indifference, silence and no attempt at a resolution.To this date we haven't received any refund, not even for the false advertising regarding the room.We are now issuing a formal complaint with the authorities of our country and our credit card provider. I suggest staying away from this hotel - again worst experience ever.

  Appalling, dirty and unfriendly!

  We booked 3 nights here about 6months in advance for The Ryder Cup. Due to delayed flights and learning the railway system we arrived at 10pm ready for bed to be told that because we had arrived late the manager had given our room to someone else. 😡The aggressive and defensive manager informed us this was our fault, not his!So while we were frantically on our phones looking for somewhere to sleep that night that wasn't a bus shelter he "found" us a room, which we took without question as we were now desperate.The room was dirty, the light didn't work and it was more prison cell than room (see mattress picture) and were told we were "very lucky" We managed to get some sleep and then had the only redeeming feature of this dump, which was a hot shower, after paying 3e for a micro fibre cloth masquerading as a towel! 🙈 On leaving in the morning we asked the girl on reception if she would phone us a taxi as Colditz is actually about 10mins drive OUTSIDE Plaisir, and were told "do it yourself" and then asked for a number - same reply!! I was genuinely gutted when our room was given to someone else but I actually pity who got our room and having it cancelled was actually a blessing in disguise. The hotel genuinely looks and does a fabulous impression of a prison. It's smelly, dirty and the guards are very unhelpful! Granted.... It's cheap, but so it should be! I would genuinely recommend you do not stay here unless it's a choice between it and a bus shelter. I'm only giving it 2 stars because it has a roof and the shower was hot! Go on Air BnB instead.... We found a little gem on there!!

  It is a cheap hotel just to accommodate. Rooms are exactly what you see on the photos. Shared toilets and shared bathrooms were interesting for me. It is not so comfortable, but I can suggest it for short stays. And if you are especially want to visit to Versailles Palace by your car. Hotel also has free car parking and Wi-Fi. And there is no elevator if you want to go upstairs you have to use stairs. Also sound isolation is not good, in the middle of my sleep, we was wake up because of the strange sounds coming from another room..

  Worst hotel I've ever been to

  The breakfast "buffet" and the incredibly uncomfortable mattress were bad enough, but as it was only £15 a night, that was expected. The lack of airconditioning in the middle of the summer when it is 37C outside was just unacceptable. My boyfriend was literally about to pass from the heat.It was impossible to get a nights sleep. The staff was cold and had no customer service qualities whatsoever. All in all, out of all the F1 hotels I've stayed in, this was the worst by far.

  The Good:- Value. Cheap as chips. €23 if booked online. The Bad:- Security seemed overdone. Either that or crime is a real problem in the Plaisir area...The Ugly:- Room temperature. Ouch. Hotter than a Mexican chili... The afternoon sun was right on it and no ac. I got to sleep around 11:30pm with nothing on and window open. At one stage was just sweating lying there doing nothing. Seriously in the summer months it needs ac.
