    Just don’t

    rating13 May 2026

I decided to give my once-upon-a-time favorite small hotel in Paris another go. Bad idea. Little had changed (in fact it might be worse) since November. Unclean and out of date. Mold in bathroom; tattered carpets, surly staff, etc.

    Just awful

    rating03 Nov 2025

Just awful..... I'd stayed here many years ago and had found the hotel charming, if a bit funky. Suffice it to say, the charm is gone. And what was funky is now just run-down and awful. My carpet and wallpaper in my room were stained and torn. The shower flooded the entire bathroom every single time we turned it on. Breakfast was -- at best -- sub par. And the staff were largely indifferent. AVOID.

Not a 4 star hotel. 3 star price for 2 star experience

    rating29 Oct 2025

Pros: Location, quiet, affordability (not value)Cons: This is not a 4 star hotel or experience. It's clear that the owner chooses not to invest in upkeep. The bedroom & bath were really shabby:One nightstand with huge chips and missing handle, water stain on the wall behind the otherOutlet falling out of the wallPlastic wall sconcesDirty trap door over the closet areaCheap pillows: Squares of fabric stuffed with cut up foam. One split open and we had to close it with a safety pin we happened to haveHuge crack (not new) in the bathroom sinkBathtub had a 1/2 glass "shower" that leaked so much water the floor became soaked and the wood paneling on the side of the bathtub was rotting awayBreakfast:Two women on different days managed the service. The blonde gal was sweet, helpful and gave great service. The woman who wore glasses provided only enough service to ensure the minimum of cleanup. At 9:30am (service is to 11) the orange juice carafe was empty and oh sorry, no more available. Same with the bacon on another day. Also, no water glasses available. She was rude, bussed the tables making so much noise it could only be intended to get people to leave. Checkout:Morning of checkout there was no hot water. So after cold showers we mentioned it to the man at the desk and he said they had "put something up". Right, so if you had already retired to your room for the night you wouldn't know. A "Four Star" hotel would have put a flier under each door. But with no apology for any inconvenience he was sure to mention that it was "Not Us" and the city was to blame. After a 9 night stay (with no complaints from us) we don't even get so much as a "hope you enjoyed your stay" or "thank you". We got a mumbled "au revoir" (I think) as we left the hotel. There are many many lovely 3 star hotels in the 6th. They may cost you 50 more euro a night, but it would be money well spent.Bottom line you are paying 3 star hotel prices for a 2 star experience. More than fancy amenities or toiletries, goodwill and attention to detail go a long way to creating a positive hotel stay. This hotel had minimal of the former and zero of the latter.

    Very disappointing……

    rating23 Aug 2025

This was my fourth and, sadly, final stay. First, let me say that the staff were amiable, and the location is splendid. Sadly, the hotel itself is no longer up to par. My room (11) in particular was horrid. What used to pass for eclectic is now just tatty. Furniture was scuffed; carpets torn in multiple places; and the shower was a nightmare, flooding the cramped bathroom with each use. And breakfast was inedible — stale croissants and other pasteries and a sad fruit salad. I was so disappointed. Vanessa Silva, General Manager at Hotel Relais Saint Sulpice, responded to this review Dear Skifastnow1,We are very sorry that your last stay with us was not up ton your expectations.Providing a great experience to our guests is one of our top priorities.Could you be so kind to contact us to a better understanding of what went wrong so we can work it together?Kind regards,

    Cute hotel

    rating20 Jul 2025

I really liked this quiet hotel, tucked behind Saint Sulpice church. The decor was vibrant and individual and good value for money. Our room did have a bit of mould but otherwise clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good and hot food made to order (although that was limited). There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Sulpice Reception, Service clients/Réception at Hotel Relais Saint Sulpice, responded to this review Dear Janette and Tony,We thank you for taking the time to leave us your review We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you liked our room decorations and our position just behind Churche Saint Sulpice with all this small restaurants just few steps from the hotelAs you have noticed for buffet breakfast we served american coffe, nespresso, the chocolat, squeeze orange juice, bread, croissants pain au chocolat, viennoiseries from Gerard Mulot, fresh fruits salade made every morning, charcterie, cheese, eggs prepared on order (omellete, scrambled eggs, bacon.....We hope to see you again in the hotel in your next trip to ParisKind regards MirkoFront desk
