  Great Hotel in a great location

  have just checked out today following the my second stay at this lovely hotel having stayed here previously in 2024. For me this hotel is perfect. Both times I was delighted with my rooms which were spotlessly clean, modern and tastefully decorated to a high standard. The rooms included USB and ISBC charge points, a safe, mini bar and this time round there was a coffee machine, providing the perfect brew to start the day! There was no kettle in the room this time (due to the inclusion of the coffee machine) but one of the guys on reception lent me one for my stay so I could make myself a peppermint infusion. They also have a variety of teas availsble in reception.The staff are all very kind, friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic too, if you walk out of the hotel the metro is literally just a minute walk away on the adjacent street. As a lone female traveller often arriving back late at night or in the small hours this was a big bonus for me. I felt very safe. There's also a fantastic range of bars, take aways and restaurants just round the corner on Rue Oberkampf as well as a monoprix. I have stayed in Paris many times over the years and can say that I don't think you will find a better hotel that combines all these benefits for the price. I look forward to hopefully staying here again on my next trip to Paris. Thankyou to all the staff for my wonderful stay. ❤️

  We stayed here with friends twice in 3 weeks. Location is great for access to most parts of Paris. Rooms are on the small side and things are a bit tired in places. Towels and floor covering have seen better days. Cleaners do a good job, our toilet didn’t switch off most times and the door didn’t automatically close which could have been an issue. Most staff were great with one gentleman definitely making our stay awkward. Ok for a stopover but not for a longer stay.

  Liked · Hotel was in the ideal location for us when visiting son. Close to Metro station. Walking distance to most attractions. The room was facing the street and was quiet. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful.Close to a self-serve laundry. Bed was comfortable, as in most Paris Hotels room was on the small side.Disliked · Beware lift is rather small. two people and luggage are a squeeze

  Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The front desk staff was excellent, the room was clean, housekeeping was equally as excellent. The location is close to everything including several metro stations. We had a balcony, it was quite nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

  In my prior visits to Paris I stayed in a more central location but this time I wanted to try something different. I was very happy with the Hotel Verlain. I stayed for several days and I disagree with the people who felt the hotel was only good for a short stay. How much time do you spend in your (admittedly small) room when you're in Paris? The hotel is no more than a block from the metro, and there are restaurants of all types close by (although not many open on Sunday evening or Monday). If you want to find a huge selection of restaurants open on Sun or Mon, just hop on the metro and get off at Sentier, where you are steps from Rue Montorgeuil. On my first day, I found my phone hadn't charged, and the electric plugs on that wall weren't working. I told the person at the front desk, who asked the maintenance person to fix. By the time I was done with breakfast the problem had been fixed. No other problems of any sort. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern. The elevator was an added plus.
