Great little hotel, handy for Eurostar

    rating20 Apr 2026

This is a great little hotel and glad we stayed. A friend also had a positive experience. Our Room was comfortable and despite facing onto the street was very quiet at night, two lots of window kept all street noise out. Bathroom with shower and the Hotel is very clean and tidy throughout. It is very close to the Gare du Nord, you just cross a road and go 20 yards or so down the Rue de St Quentin and you are there. There is also an entrance to the Paris Metro where you cross the road from the station. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and speak excellent English (special mention to Marilena and Karl). Reception is always staffed. There is no bar as such or restaurant but you could have a drink if you wanted and the foyer area is private and is where Breakfast is served. However, there are numerous cafe’s and bars nearby. Two little supermarkets are close by. Note that the area around the Gare du Nord is a bit rough around the edges (check city reviews) and we ate out in the central tourist areas, returning from a day out later in the evening. This worked really well. Breakfast is a buffet with cheeses (6 types), cold meats (4 types), breads, pastries, fruits etc, a couple of days there were home made cakes and quiches. All excellent. If you want hot then scrambled eggs and sausages were also available. It is a really good base for the city and so close to the Eurostar, 20 mins stroll to Sacre Coeur, straight down the metro to Notre Dame. I found the metro layout tricky to decipher, print a map out before you go, the Navico cards you can buy at stations (or on Eurostar) are easy to use. We did not use the Hammam facilities of room service.

A cute hotel located conveniently close to Gare du Nord. Front desk service was excellent and breakfast 👌. Double glazing blocked out all street noise!

Loved this little hotel SO MUCH!

    rating23 Feb 2026

We really enjoyed this hotel--it was so cute, charming, and provided us with a very comfortable stay for a family of 4. I booked the connecting room (#304/305), which is actually two separate rooms joined by a small private hallway, and they were both amazing. A little bit small, but they made up for the small size by having very creative and useful amenities, such as a pull out desk from the wall (that folded back up into a "suitcase" decoration on the wall), little nooks by the bed to store electronics, cords, glasses, etc., and pull-out hanger shelves in the wardrobes. Everything was decorated in a vintage train theme, which really added to the ambiance and environment. The rooms were also spotless. For the 4 of us, having 2 separate, full bathrooms (one in each room) was a godsend, so we didn't have to wait so long for each person to take a shower! The soundproofing in the rooms was also incredible--we were just steps away from busy Gare du Nord train station, but didn't hear any noise at all, and we were all able to sleep comfortably. One of the rooms (the bigger one) had a nice window that opened out to a small balcony to watch people walk by on the street below. As for location--it's right next to a busy transit station (just cross one small street), so it's incredibly convenient. The nearest metro stop is not even one block away--super close. It only took about 20 minutes by metro to get to many locations in Paris--Notre Dame, the Louvre, Galeries Lafayette, Passage des Panoramas, and maybe a bit longer to the Eiffel Tower & Arc de Triomphe. Excellent location.Hotel staff were very friendly as well. I unfortunately didn't catch his name, but the young gentleman who checked us in was extremely helpful and kind. We got to the hotel around 10:30 am, so our rooms were not ready, but he offered to store our luggage while we explored the city. He also kept our luggage for us after we checked out, as our train back to London was not until 6pm and checkout time was 12pm. The hotel has a small dining area on the lobby for people who choose to have breakfast, and there's a very nice coffee machine in the lobby for hotel guests to use. Some interesting quirks about the rooms--one room was clearly bigger than the other and it had 2 twin beds pushed against each other to basically make a double bed. This was the room with the small balcony outside the window, and this room also had a much bigger bathroom than the other room. We ended up giving this room to the kiddos, since each twin bed had its own set of bedding so they wouldn't fight over the covers. We took the other, much smaller room, but this room had the king size bed, which seemed a bit odd. No balcony outside the window, and the bathroom was separated into two sections--one section with just the toilet in basically a closet, and the other section had the shower and sink. It was a little strange to use the toilet in one part of the room, and then have to walk over to the other side of the room to wash hands in the sink. ;) Both bathrooms had towel warmers, which were very nice, but also hung very high up on the walls so towels were sort of hard to hang on them--we ended up not using them because of their hanging location on the walls. I also wish there were more hooks in the bathrooms to hang bath & hand towels, but other than that--this hotel was truly awesome. The price was well worth it--to have two completely separate rooms with their own bathrooms was seriously amazing. I wish them much success!
