    Average Stay

    rating05 Apr 2022

I booked into this hotel at the last minute. Very handy from Paris Orly by catching the free bus (green line)the basis on this rate was shared toilet/shower facilities. The room was basic for a one night stay but no towels provided for shower. Breakfast was free but little choice. Not really my choice to stay there again but may suit travellers on a budget.

Glad it was only 2 nights

I arrived , room was small, bed with very thin duvet , I believe they were mattress protector.i asked for a spoon and a knife,it seems like they eat with bear hands , they claim they dont have any?? Which hotel has no cutlery??? ,walls are thin like paper , you can clearly hear what his your neighbourg doing at night. This standard in an hostel backpacking in Thailand I would expect , but not in paris for this price , this is not cheap for what you get.Happy to know there are more hotel nearby with higher quality and not much more or less expensive. And some of their staff is not very wellcoming either.dont ask for anything according to whom you speak you get a complete different answer...

Glad it was only for one night!!

It’s not cheap for the price you end up paying. It’s a room. The bed was surprisingly comfy, very clean and lovely cosy covers. That’s the plus! A small sink in the corner and very busy wallpaper of travel magazines makes the wall feel like its crashing in on you!Make sure you bring a bottle of wine, your own glasses, corkscrew and the room becomes tolerable. It’s only for a one night stay..........Reception stinks of smoke....Breakfast is ok......McDonalds is up the road....

We booked in here on the way down to the south of France, thinking we'd prefer to save our money and spend it on a slap up meal when we arrived at our final destination. To be frank, I wish we'd splashed out on an Ibis Budget as this wasn't a great experience. The hotel is in the middle of an industrial park off the motorway with a few hotels and a McDonald's close by (plus a massive nightclub - apparently the best in Paris). The outside space is a car park then a few picnic benches inhabited by the staff and fellow smokers. We checked in easily (and without any welcoming smiles, just a grunt or two) and got our room code, heading off down the dark and smoke smelling corridor to our prison cell, sorry, room for the night. This was actually quite clean and decent, if a little shabby, with clean sheets on the bed, a moulded, plastic chair and table fixed to the wall, a sink and a TV. No carpet, just lino on the floor. Boiling hot as there was a heat wave, no air con and the window would only open an inch. Toilet and shower down the hall - as we expected. These were also clean but always busy and full, so queuing was needed at all hours. The guys in the room opposite had propped their door open with a can of pineapple, so we were treated to the site of them sat in their pants, playing cards until 2am. Loudly. Oh, and smoking. The security guard did nothing about that. As the temperature in the room was around 35°C, we barely slept a wink. We found the way to open the window wide, but as we were on the ground floor, and someone was rustling around outside the window, we decided to bake in our skins, rather than be robbed. Up early next morning to have a shower (at least that was cold) and then enjoy a stale roll and cheap orange juice, which was 3 euros each. At least we were leaving after that. It only cost us 37 euros, which was super cheap, but to be honest, it was so unpleasant and we were so tired and cross the next day after a night sweating into thin sheets, that I can only say that you should splash out a few more Euros and go and stay in a hotel with an ensuite and a window you can open more than a crack.

Stinks of Smoke, No airport bus

    rating20 Sept 2014

I regularly stay in the hotel f1 at Paris Charles de Gaulle which I find excellent, with helpful, friendly staff, free buses to the airport and clean rooms. I was therefore extremely disappointed to learn that to get from Orly Sud to the Hotel F1 at Orly I would need to pay 17€ minimum in a taxi (once I had persuaded the taxi driver to take me on what he described as a pointless journey). The staff were unfriendly and unprofessional, I felt like my arrival was disturbing them. The maze of corridors stink of cigarette smoke despite numerous no smoking signs, the room was roughly clean. For the extra money I spent on taxis each way I could have afforded to stay at the Ibis...Never again.
