Okay hotel at best, cramped for room

    rating02 Dec 2024

We had to wait a long time to check-in. The rooms were very small, we felt like we were stuffed in it. After both the beds, we barely had any space to walk around, forget about the luggage. The washroom was so small that you could barely move around it without hitting something. We had breakfast included, but they didnt give us enough coupons for all of us for the number of days we stayed. It was ok at best, the food options and quality. They didnt have eggs or chicken or any meat in their options, surprisingly. The only good thing was it was close enough (close to 500m) to the train station and you could view the Eiffel tower from the lobby.

Stay with us and get ill! Free black mould in bedrooms for all.

Short review: don’t stay here if you value your health. Long review: I’ve stayed in 100+ hotels and this was the first one I was visibly disgusted with the state of the room, even going “eww” upon discovering. It took us four attempts to get a room that was of acceptable standard. The first room was unbearably hot. The shower was covered in black mould. The toilet was old and the fixings broken. There was black mould in the room. It wasn’t safe to stay in. My partner and I refused to shower there and subject our son to the same. I changed the room and the second room was worse. There was MORE mould in the shower, enough to put an OCD clean-freak (no offence) in hospital with a heart attack. I asked for another room. This was much better but then the lock was broken and the door wouldn’t close. I went back down stairs, getting more annoyed at this point and wanted another. The member of staff was outstanding. He personally found us a room and let us see it beforehand. It was honestly like night and day. Much better, very clean and good temperature. The breakfast was good and adequate. The toilets near the restaurant need fixing as the roof tiles were missing, exposing the pipework and drainage above. The paint and walls throughout the hotel looked old, chipped and dated. The area was good, close to shops and travel but does feel a little bit unsafe at night. There was a group of dodgy looking people hanging outside the shopping Center entrance every day we were there. We stayed at an ibis budget in London at the start of the week. It’s surprising how both hotels are owned by the same company, but the standards are completely different. I won’t be staying here again as I value my health more than a cheap night sleep. Several rooms aren’t safe to be slept in. The hotel needs major refurbishment. The Hotel F1 round the corner was much better (even with the shared bathrooms) when we stayed there in 2017. In short, pay a little bit more and sleep somewhere safer. Don’t risk your health here.

Absolutely horrible hotel, please stay away

    rating19 Sept 2023

This was the first time we travelled to Paris (along with our 14 year old son) and decided to stay at the IBIS Budget hotel. Our expectations were not very high as we were aware that IBIS Budget does not come with full services. But in a period when there was extreme heat in Paris, the air conditioning of the room allotted did not work. We complained to the lady at the reception and she changed the room but the AC did not work there as well. On complaining again, she said she cannot do and I have to change the room next morning. It was a horrific night for us, in a closed room without any windows and no air conditioning. It spoiled our experience in Paris and we decided to avoid IBIS hotels. They did not have a technician in the night who could check the air conditioning. Other than this, the bathroom was really old and was not in good shape. Room was below average with the bed having chippings and the bedsheets looked old. The area also does not feel very safe, though there is a huge carrefour. The roads near the hotel have really bad smell (read urine smell).

Avoid this hotel - absolutely dreadful

    rating15 Aug 2023

Myself and my husband and 7 year old stayed at this hotel on Monday 10th April for 1 night in room 1118. We had an absolutely dreadful room and as a result a really awful stay. We did address our issues at reception but the two gentlemen on duty said they could not assist us and that we would need to email the hotel. The room was unclean, filthy floors in the bedroom and bathroom. The sink was blocked, and was backing up dirty water which was very smelly. The sink was chipped and very sharp, this was dangerous with a small child in the room. The paint on the headboard was chipped and bits keep falling all over the bedding, again very unsafe with a child in the room. The stairs down to the car park are filthy with a very bad smell of urine which was dreadful. For our first stay in Paris we were so upset. I have emailed the hotel customer service twice now with absolutely no response. AVOID THIS HOTEL - absolutely dreadful
