  I mean, what do we expect for £50 a night?The location is not near the city centre, nor is it close to public transport. It’s a 10/15 minute walk to the nearest tram station. So to get into central Paris you are looking at 45 minutes. I didn’t need to be near the city centre so it didn’t bother me but I imagine most are looking for that. The surrounding area is not attractive. That being said, I never felt unsafe. Check in was easy and I found all staff friendly and accommodating. My main gripe with the hotel was that my room was opposite the housekeeping office and from 7am onwards the housekeeper was just speaking loudly on their phone non-stop in what I would describe as a one way conversation on her part. It was still ongoing when I left at 9.30am. This really disturbed my sleep and has affected the stars I’ve given.The room was basic but clean. The room was an odd shape so the bed didn’t really fit the room. The view was over the main ring road of Paris however four floors up I didn’t really get any traffic noise. Overall for what I needed it for, it was sufficient however if I was booking a weekend away in Paris with a loved one, I would not be booking here. , Directeur général at ibis budget Paris Porte d'Italie West, responded to this review Dear Drowlands1,We are a 2 ** budget hotel and our mission is: “The essential comfort at a lower price”.   Super Good hotel. Not far from metropoliten station. Good stuf and breakfast, clean The rooms every day. Near The big streat , there qre a lot of shops, restorans, ant shop centre. Rekomendation just only Good. I and my family is feel comfortabily

  The budget in the name gave this away, not the price.The staff were very nice but the room was … minimalist.   We stayed at this hotel for five nights . We had access to public transportation by ten minutes walking but it took one to one and half hours to get the attractions in average as a result hotel's location was not good.Our room was very very small .we were there people .there wasn't any place to put our small luggage even on the floor.there wasn't any wardrobe and we didn't know where we can put our clothes. Our room was dirty we asked them to clean our room every day but didn't and just made our bed ! There was not any facility in the room .nothing! bathroom was small without any fan .   We visited Paris for 3 nights , 4 days.I was apprehensive as its a budget hotel but I was blown away by this establishment.Check in was a breeze, nice friendly staff.Parking we paid for was around £15 a day. The carpark was very tight as we were in a 7 seater but it was secure and on site which is a blessing in Paris.The rooms are basic with a double bed and bunk setup, two rooms we had were identical. One with a view of the hotel front and another the hotel rear, both rooms only about 5 metres apart.Nice clean bed linen, towels and handtowels.Body and hair wash complementary in pump attached to shower wall.There was a TV in each room with remote on which we watched the ladies European championships final.Breakfast was 6am to 930am. Continental breakfast , coffees and juice.Plentiful and always stocked up.Kids loved it..Hotel was a 10 min walk from metro station and commuting to various area of the city was a really easy.The only minor thing was noise on one night (around 130am) of other guests on our floor, this I know is something that can't be helped but it really would not deter us returning to this hotel or recommending it.Great value for money, great breakfasts, parking onside and good location for communities.We recommend to anyone. , Directeur général at ibis budget Paris Porte d'Italie West, responded to this review Dear Paul,Thank you for this review which reflects your complete satisfaction during your stay with the Family and it is very pleasant to know that we have fulfilled our mission as a hotelier.
