  In my opinion, it was good for the price, reasonable price, walking distance of a nice Portuguese restaurant, but far away from everything, including The Palace of Versailles, or public transport.   Fantastic travel experience at Chateau St. Cyr du Bailleul

  The stunning, beautifully restored, decorated and impeccable Chateau St. Cyr was a delight and pleasure to stay at for 4 nights. Wendy and Ashley Lane are the perfect hosts and had a wonderful itinerary. We visited Mont St. Michel, a beautiful monastery/commune on an island in Normandy. We visited Omaha Beach, American soldier's cemetery, la Pointe (Rangers) and the memorial and museum. Truly solemn and moving!We visited the oyster capital of Europe, Cancale, sitting on the seawall eating oysters and throwing the shells into the sea!!We visited Saint-Malo, a beautiful port city in Brittany, France. So beautiful, the city is surrounded by granite walls on beautiful beaches. Had a fantastic meal in the old city!We had wonderful breakfasts each day prepared by Wendy and enjoyed meals with their friends from St. Cyr and other American quests staying at their hotel in St. Cyr!A truly delightful and wonderful experience with these wonderful and gracious hosts!!

  SCAM DO NOT BOOK YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY!Booked a stay for september 2024 in october 2023 and paid the full amount for the stay. Now in january 2024 the hotel has sent me an email to confirm that I have cancelled my stay (which I absolutely have not!!!). It is impossible to contact the hotel directly as the phone number is disconnected. When contacting All Accor they say there is nothing they can do and that the hotel has cancelled my stay with no explanation and that they can not help me get a refund.

  Medium rating in regards that it is a low cost hotel. Condttion of the rooms are " worn" . Breakfast is acceptable. Huge parking avalable and gaurded.   Stayed at this hotel en-route from Provence back to the UK. We wanted to visit Versailles and have a meal in the city. But didn’t want to pay Versailles hotel prices and have the hassle and stress of finding somewhere to park the car with luggage, bike and wine purchased in the Rhône etc. Hotel was reasonably priced at £57 for B&B for 2. Room size was more than adequate and on a par with similar hotels in Versailles for less than half the price. Shower could do with a bit of a refurb. But still clean and functional. Car was parked in a gated code controlled car park behind the hotel. And felt secure. 10 minute walk to St Cyr railway station with frequent trains to/from Versailles Chantiers for €5.10 return. Breakfast was OK. But maybe a plate would improve things. And as it’s on the same site as a petrol station was able to fill up the car with fuel for the final leg and even to give it jet wash. Bonus.
