    Amazing customer service

    rating06 Mar 2025

Amazing customer service from Sylvie this morning in dealing with our booking due to personal reasons. The situation was handled with professionalism. Anasset to the company. We will definately been returning to the hotel in the future, when we return for our family vacation.

    Basic, cost effective hotel

    rating01 Feb 2025

So we like the area and Chartier round the corner and Gare de L’Est is a good connection station for exploring. We have stayed at the Holiday in that has now changed to the NH so needed an alternative. The IBIS chain is a bit like Premier inns in the UK, a bit basic, but adequate on a budget. We found the hotel located in a small road off the main road to the station which shields some of the vehicle noise which is good. Rooms have been refurbished to a decent standard, clean and functional if not a tad small. The reception staff were fantastic, wish I had got names to thank them publicly but suffice to say they were great. We arrived early so they stored our luggage and sorted our room to a double rather than a twin as it was our anniversary. When we finally checked in there were petals on the bed a little care package and the reception guy brought us a little half bottle of champagne such a wonderful touch for a budget hotel. There is a wonder bakery just round the corner, multiple bus stops and the metro a 2-3 minute walk. Lots of dining options and post olympics the area seems to have been cleaned up so feels nice and secure. Bit disappointed there are no hot drink making facilities but that’s a minor grumble. There is also little or no hanging space at least in the room we had, hence the 1 mark down.Over all great stay in a nice budget hotel in a great location, so can’t really complain .Thanks for making our anniversary weekend a success.

    Appalling Hotel - don’t stay

    rating29 Oct 2024

We booked in to this hotel based on photos and description on their website - so misleading. Receptionist completely at sea, directed to 3rd floor “room” via lift only big enough for 1 person & 1 suitcase, room door hidden behind false door, cobwebs in every corner in room, no visible powerpoints, breakfast room looked like it belonged on a building site. We checked out immediately and after complaints to operator we were at fault and they were right - contradicted everything we said. Would NEVER even contemplate staying in this “hotel”. Chantal PECOU, Directeur général at Ibis Paris Gare De L'est 10eme, responded to this review Dear Mrs Bridge,Please note that we already answered by email, google and booking.com.Best regards

    Unclean and unwelcoming

    rating15 Oct 2024

unclean!! three nights staying and my room was never clean only to drop off fresh towels and toilet paper. Even when I asked for the sheets to be changed and the floor hovered. My bed was only straighten with all all the food I was eating underneath the covers. I guess I was misunderstood....The book was way beyond basic..NO kettle was available to get a cup of tea. A bottle of water in case I need a drink of water in emergency. The deco inside the room was plain and boring that it was pointless taking any pictures of the room. The check in was not very friendly and borderline unwelcoming. I wasn't allowed to sit in the reception area to wait for my friend where he wasn't even allowed upstair while I was getting ready to go out. The stay was just unwelcoming by the staff and their attitude when I was locked out one night returning at 3am and a next night I was challenged to the legitimacy of my stay.

    Cleaner stole my personal items

    rating07 Oct 2024

Cleaners stole my personal items. We went out the Saturday, came back and the cleaners had been in the room, and my perfume was gone. I searched the whole room and couldn’t find it, and the cleaners are the only ones who had been in the room other than us so it had been stolen. The staff were rude and unwelcoming so as two females staying another night we did not feel comfortable raising the issue with them, as they were not approachable at all. When I booked I naively thought it would be a similar Ibis to the ones in the UK, the photos looked like it. But it was nothing like it. Room was extremely basic without even a kettle or small table. Very worn and grubby in places. When we got to reception we then had to go outside to access the rooms (not ideal but may just be a Paris thing, no biggy) and then when we went to use the lift it would only fit in one person and when I tried it felt quite dodgy. So we had to use the stairs everytime to the third floor. The only good thing was the location was good and easy to get to the metro.I definitely wouldn’t stay here again, not only for the stealing but I’m sure there are nicer hotels with friendly staff for a similar price.
