The worst 3 star hotel I ever stayed!!

    rating20 May 2026

The room is very small and the bathroom is more a closet. It is soooo small that you cannot sit on the toilet in a normal way!!! The space in front of the toilet is less than 20cm. So you can imagine that your excrements is not falling in the water, but at the side. But the most enjoying thing is that the airco is not working. The reason the manager gave me, was the weather is not hot enoug!! It was 25°C!! Sleeping with open window is horrible because of the very noisy street.Never again this kind of hotels!!

Ok on many levels, just not value.

Clumsy slow handling at checkin. No aircon. Noisy. The single room is sufficient. Location excellent.

    Tiny rooms!

    rating16 Apr 2026

Good points - clean, polite staff, good location, breakfast good. Close to bars/restaurants and metro. Not so good points - tiny room on fourth floor. Decorated in grey and black, felt a bit like a prison cell. Very little room to walk around bed. Only one bed side table. No tea making facilities - yes I know it's a budget hotel, but what does a kettle cost? I'd been happy to supply my own tea/coffee. Bathroom, although clean and fairly new looking, you could not open the shower door fully, so had to squeeze through the gap as far as the door would open. We had a fire alarm as 4.45am one morning. A member of staff had incinerated her toast. The hotel was evacuated. No emergency services arrived whilst the guests stood outside and after 10 minutes we were told it was ok to go back in. Next morning, there was not one word of apology from the staff! It's a good job we are the sort of people who like to be out all day, because being in the hotel room was quite depressing.

    Do not book this hotel!

    rating15 Jan 2026

I stayed in this hotel for one night with a family member, and had to leave after this night as the conditions of the room were unsatisfactory. To summarise, I found black mould in the bathroom, the room was freezing cold and the heating didn’t work. There were stains on the carpet and the room was not cleaned well. There was also poor ventilation, lighting that didn’t work and various marks and scratches on the upholstery. I paid around €350 euros for two nights and I think the amount was grossly high for what I experienced - I personally would’ve paid around €50 a night for the standards I witnessed. They also don’t answer their phone or reply to emails. It’s literally impossible to get in touch with Ibis and they are utterly hopeless. I expected a refund but there’s no way I’m going to receive that with the lack of customer service they provide.Stay in the Crowne plaza round the corner, it’s 100% worth the money when you consider this hotel!

    Great Budget Hotel

    rating13 Nov 2025

I had booked this hotel just a couple of weeks before my travel date without checking the reviews. Once I saw the negative reviews I was so skeptical. Yet my experience was way beyond expectations. My stay was super pleasant, the hotel is 2 mins walking away from place de la republique which has 5 metro lines and 5+ bus lines. My room was clean and tidy. It is a bit small but it is normal compared to the average hotel room sizes in Paris. Staff were really helpful. Never had any lift issues as mentioned by some other people. The room was heated, the bed and cushions were super comfortable, hot water was available in my bathtub 24/7. The best thing in the morning is the smell of fresh croissant and pain au chocolat freshly baked for breakfast. If i want to talk about cons i would mention 2 points:1- I was able to hear the footsteps of the people staying in the room above me.(but this was not an issue for me since i was out most of the time)2- my room had no view But i would definitely reserve it again for my next trip.
