    Terrible experience

    rating17 Aug 2024

This is a terrible hotel. The air conditioning did not work properly, although it was mid-summer. The lift broke down (it has 5 floors) and the breakfast has limited options and very few staff. The rooms are basic. The reception and dinner staff were very good.

    Clean and tidy hotel

    rating21 Oct 2023

Booked fairly last minute through booking.com looking for accommodation near to Stade de France for the World Cup semi final rugby. This seemed to tick all the boxes and we weren’t disappointed. Don’t get me wrong this isn’t the Ritz but it is clean and functional. We stayed on the fifth floor in a double room. The rooms are small but clean and tidy with towels. This is a no frills hotel which matches the hotel starring system. Somewhere between a travel lodge and a premier inn. We didn’t have breakfast or use the bar in the evening but both were available. Parking was available at the rear of the hotel. Would stay again.

    6 Nations stay

    rating21 Mar 2022

Tiny twin rooms, but fine for a couple of nights. Not too far from Stade de France, easy to walk home after the match. The local area is a bit 'edgy', but a lot of development going on so likely to improve in the near future. Overall, the Campanile was reasonable value for money.

    Welcome To Fawlty Towers Paris

    rating02 Feb 2020

Before leaving this disgusting establishment I wish to leave a few words that hopefully will deter others from using the place in the future or at least give them warning as to what to expect. 1. On arrival we asked about parking arrangements which were advertised clearly on our booking confirmation “Free Parking”. We were basically ignored by the reception staff so had to improvise 2.Very first night after a long journey we simply wanted a hassle free evening and recharge our batteries. So to find a dead earwig in our bed was not the best start. 3. Our first nights sleep was memorable for all the wrong reasons. The bed was just unbelievably squeaky! Every movement brought an orchestra of squeaks!!!3. On our first morning we decided to pay for breakfast which was quite good except for the annoying waiter and manager who between them must have insisted on at least 4 occasions that we eat our breakfast using a tray. I did not want to use a tray to eat my breakfast but they would not give up. When asked why they insisted on this their reasoning was gut busting comical “To keep the table clean and free of crumbs” I ask you ha ha, Fawlty Towers eat your heart out! ‘Manuel’ you know what you can do with your tray!!! All in all the stay was shocking. On our next visit to the Stade De France we will go back to the Novotel!

    You will feel very valueless

    rating24 May 2019

There is no zero, that’s why I am giving 1star, but believe me it’s 0. I have stayed in many kind of hotels in all around the world. I have never felt so valueless before. My comments may be seen extreme but I will only write what’s happened;I have never seen any receptionists so rude before. Even it’s close to the river, the surrounding area is a no-go area, you cannot go for a walk alone. The rooms are very very small. There is no shover cabin so if you take shover everywhere becomes wet. The hot water is very unstable, it suddenly becomes jumps to 80°C or falls to 10°C my feet and knees were burned while taking shover. They put one towel in the room for two people, if you ask for a second one they behave very rude. The breakfast is very very poor, this is the first time that I see only two baguettes for the whole guests. The servants behave so slow while replacing what’s finished and bring few things, so it finishes in seconds if you’r lucky you find stg. otherwise you wait for the next round and it takes hours. I asked the receptionist and servants why is it so, and they replied ‘you take a lot so it finishes quickly, we cannot replace faster.’ . I stayed two days in the hotel and left the breakfasts hungry after waiting for 1 hour for replacements. What’s positive? The internet connection is good.
