    An Average Stay Despite Exceptional Ratings

    We chose INNSiDE Paris Charles de Gaulle largely because of its exceptionally high ratings on TripAdvisor. Based on our recent stay, however, we found ourselves struggling to reconcile those ratings with our actual experience.To be fair, the hotel has several strengths. The location near Charles de Gaulle Airport is convenient, the property was generally quiet, and the staff members we encountered were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was also enjoyable.Unfortunately, several significant issues affected our stay. The mattress in our room was worn out and appeared to be broken, resulting in an uncomfortable night’s sleep. The sofas were in such poor condition that the seat cushions would not remain attached, making them largely unusable. Wi-Fi service in our room was so unreliable that it was effectively unusable for much of our stay. We also found several other aspects of the property and amenities to be below the standard we expected given the hotel’s reputation and price point.After returning home, I contacted the hotel directly and received a thoughtful response from management acknowledging these concerns. However, when I later inquired about whether these issues had been addressed before an upcoming reservation, I did not receive a response.While our experience may not be representative of every guest’s stay, it was disappointing enough that we ultimately chose to make alternative arrangements for our next visit to Paris.

    Perfect Stay before going to Disney

    Arrived late after a delayed flight. The whole check in process was smooth and fantastic customer service. The room was perfect with plenty of space and a great breakfast to set us up for the morning before going to Disney. Thanks so much to Maryau and Mahamed for making us feel so welcome.     A great CDG airport option

    We stayed here for one night en route to going back home. We arrived at CDG Terminal 2B. Navigating CDG to look for the CDG VAL platform was not so easy, especially for first time visitors. There were staff in their airport uniform that were readily available should you require assistance with direction. After reaching the CDG VAL platform, you need to take the direction to CDG Terminal 1, and stopped at the Parking PR station. At the Parking PR station, you have to go up the lift, cross the train tracks and walk towards the exit. After exiting the station, head to your left and walk to the end of the walkway and then cross the street. From here, you just have to go straight and you will reach the hotel that is on your left. Check in was quick and efficient. The lobby area was pretty entertaining with pac man machine, hockey table and ping pong table. We booked ourselves the Loft room for the four of us, and the room was massive. The room came with a king-sized bed, a sofa bed, a dining table and a separate shower/bathtub bathroom and a toilet. The bed was comfortable and the linen felt clean and fresh. The sofa bed was pretty nice too. As a light sleeper, I could not really hear any noise during our stay. Overall a great and affordable stay. I would not hesitate to come back.     ****SECURITY ALERT:: Almost got scammed by criminals in the lobby - READ

    Hotel is lovely and staff were great on our one night stay before flying home BUT we encountered a couple (unfortunately with a young daughter) who approached my elderly mother tonight and tried to scam her in the LOBBY of the hotel. It looks safe but it is not. At approximately 830pm tonight after we had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant a couple with unfortunately a child in tow approached my elderly mother who was alone at the time. The man struck up a conversation, asked about the conversion rate from dollars to euro and then asked to see a dollar bill because he had supposedly never seen one. My husband and I happened to come across my mother at around this time and quickly realized what was happening - the woman in the couple with the child was trying to distract us with non sensical questions while the man was repeatedly asking my 81 year old mother to see more types of dollar bills (bizarre I know). At some point he put his finger inside the wallet and said oh there are more, it was very clear at that point it was a scam. Another hotel visitor came up and said they tried the same scam on them. We notified the hotel front desk and they were incredibly KIND but also there was no security present (until 10pm) and it was clear anyone could walk in the hotel lobby. Again, hotel lovely but there are security concerns .. we almost let our 9 year old children play at the video games and ping pong table while we were at dinner alone. Called the police who refused to come but PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:: despite the family vibe in the lobby it is NOT safe, anyone can walk in and there is no daytime or evening security present whatsoever. It’s now midnight and no one from the hotel or security checked in on us, which is fine but not great. Supposedly there are cameras but they could not be accessed until 10p when ‘security’ arrived but again no one contacted us to get our account. Two women at the front desk were incredibly kind but naturally couldn’t do much though I was impressed one of them raced outside to try and find this couple and also went into a neighboring hotel to search for them. my heart is still racing. Be very vigilant as anyone can clearly waltz into the lobby of this (or perhaps any of the CDG-adjacent) hotels and there is no security. Perhaps this is just rampant everywhere but lack of security and perceived sense of safety brought me here to warn others especially vulnerable individuals and families.     Very dirty hotel

    We stayed at Innside by Meliá at CDG for the second time, and unfortunately our experience was very different from the first visit.The location is excellent—about a 5–7 minute walk to the tramway, and then only one stop (around 5 minutes) to Terminal 1, which makes it extremely convenient for early flights. The rooms are also quite spacious for an airport hotel, and we appreciated the complimentary upgrade. Soukaina at reception was especially kind and welcoming. The staff overall were friendly and helpful. 😊However, cleanliness was a major concern during this stay. The carpet in the hallway on the 5th floor was very dirty with visible food stains, and there was an unpleasant smell in the corridor. Inside the room, the floors did not appear properly cleaned, and there were visible foot stains in the shower. Overall, the room did not feel thoroughly cleaned, which made us uncomfortable.A manager did come to the room after we raised the issue and sent someone to clean again, which we appreciated, but the overall condition still did not meet expectations.
