    Awful hotel

    rating04 Jan 2026

We had planned a family trip to Paris, including Disney and opted to stay at this hotel for 6 nights. Oh how I wish we had paid the extra €50 and stayed elsewhere! This hotel was awful. The staff was horrid, the room was horrid, everything about it was horrid. We arrived at Hotel Kyriad at approximately 1:30 Sunday afternoon and asked if there was any way we could possibly check in early. We were greeted instead with, “No! There is only one cleaner, you can come back at 3:30 and maybe it will be ready”! Check in time was 3pm. There was a shopping centre nearby so we went for a walk, only to find that everything was closed. Oh and it’s raining. We could see another area with lots of restaurants, so we went and explored that and decided upon where we would eat later that night. We returned to the hotel at about 2:45, retrieved our luggage and waited. At 3:15, the gentleman in the lobby said our room was ready but when we got up the the 4th floor, the cleaner, who spoke no English told us that it was NOT ready and to wait. He hurried about and vacuumed and finished up whilst I went back down to the lobby to complain about their lack of communication. Unfortunately, there was a different guy at the counter who told me I needed to wait (he was serving another lady) but I responded with the fact that I was not fine waiting and went back upstairs. 5 minutes later, the room was ready. We walked into our room at about 3:25pm. Exhausted. Cold. Wet. The room was yuck! The pictures were not accurate. The beds were old, the bathroom had some rusty pipes with mold, the shower head wouldn’t stay up. The heating was preset to a level Hades would have approved of and when we opened the window, the traffic noise was extremely loud! We also had a couple of stained pillow cases and about 10cm to squeeze into the space between the beds, even less when we had to place suitcases somewhere. What they did not tell us is that in order to get the room serviced, you had to tell reception the night before, by a certain time. They also didn’t mention how the coffee sachets were a welcome “courtesy” for the first night and we would have to pay an outrageous amount if we wanted any more, even though we were there for 6 nights. We asked for our room to be made up on our 4th morning there by hanging the “please service my room” sign on the door and came home from a very long day to find nothing had been done. This was when we found out about the room cleaning protocol as well as the coffee/creamer situation. They cleaned the room and replaced the towels on our 5th morning. We didn’t ask for anything on our 6th morning. On our 7th and final morning, we finally decided to sleep in as we had had a busy week and were not in a hurry to get to the airport (check out wasn’t til 12noon). Unfortunately, a man opened our room door at 0900 and stood there for what seemed like an eternity. It turned out to be the cleaner and the concierge later tried to tell me when I made a complaint that it was somehow our fault as he (the cleaner) didn’t realise we were checking out that day and he was doing us a favour by coming in and “making up” our room. I was both shocked by this reaction - our children were asleep in the room and everyone was able to be seen from the doorway and we were all in vulnerable positions (sound asleep) and I was disgusted that the hotel took this kind of stance given this man opened the door whilst we were all sound asleep. NO knock, nothing. Do NOT stay here!

    Dated hotel rude staff

    rating13 Jun 2024

The location is ok for disneyland but thats where the good ends. The hotel is dated. The room was dirty and the sheets were stained. Daytime staff were the most rude unhelpful people ive ever come across they claim not to speak or understand english but can speak it perfectly clear when they want money from you. Cost of drinks changed daily to whatever number they come up with. Kyriad Manager, General Manager at Tulip Hotels et Residences Marne-La-Vallee Torcy, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish your experience was better, it is feedback like this that teaches us and allows us to improve. We still assure you that our prices listed for drinks are fixed, each drink has its price. We work hard to provide an exceptional customer experience and it is clear that in this case, we did not live up to it.If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to provide you with the great hotel experience that so many of our guests enjoy so much.Sincerely,Audrey

    Needs a makeover

    rating10 Jun 2024

The location of this hotel is perfect for traveling into Paris and Disneyland. However the hotel itself is tired and needs an urgent makeover, the room was basic and tired, only one small pillow and a hard bed, The staff were quite noisy downstairs, Talking late into the evening, we had to shut our window to sleep, Staff smoking frequently, smoke rises. I didn't eat here so can't comment. In all honesty it was okay for what we needed as we spent most of our time in Paris, our room was just a pitstop. However a staff member named Theirry was fantastic, very polite and hardworking. Always wanting to help or assist. Kyriad Manager, General Manager at Tulip Hotels et Residences Marne-La-Vallee Torcy, responded to this review Dear customer,Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us.We would like to apologize for the inconveniences encountered during your stay and will make our teams aware of this.We hope to welcome you back to our hotel very soon!Sincerely,Audrey

    Comfortable stay

    rating08 Apr 2024

We chose this hotel as a base for Eurodisney. We knew we were booking a budget hotel that we would only need to sleep in, have breakfast and keep our things. This hotel served it's purpose. The train station is less than a 5 minute walk and only 15 mins to Marne le Valée for Disney. There are two big shopping malls one that houses the likes of H&M etc and the other that has many restaurants at affordable prices and a daily happy hour between 4-8pm. There is also a KFC drive thru a few minutes from the hotel. The breakfast at the hotel costs approx 14 eur per adult and serves a buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, fruit, yogurts, pastries, toast, cheese and deli cold meats as well as teas, coffees, juice and little extras that you could prob take away with you. Our room had a basic refresh each day fresh towels, replenished teas coffees etc and emptied rubbish. This was all we needed. Late nights when we were hungry and there were no places open we ordered via Uber eats usually KFC or Macds. On our day of departure we had a very late flight so we checked out and were able to leave our luggage safely with reception whilst we went out to enjoy our last day. The facilities are limited but we were only here for 4 nights so we didn't bring alot with us which meant the small wardrobe and shelves in each room was perfectly acceptable. Comfy beds and cot were provided which meant a decent night's sleep. Large windows in each room but take care with small children. There is a small bar in reception which some of our group enjoyed using and a pleasant outdoor area to sit and eat/drink. Yes the hotel is dated this reflects in it's price but with a family of 8 plus baby we were on a budget and this hotel as well as it's cheerful, friendly staff made our stay comfortable. Thank you very much Kyriad hotel and staff for making us all feel very welcome! Kyriad Manager, General Manager at Tulip Hotels et Residences Marne-La-Vallee Torcy, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for the great review of our hotel! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon.Sincerely,Tina LuyeSous directeur
