  We arrived to the hotel early evening, it was not a friendly or professional welcome. We were over charged from the original booking and challenged this, however we were told we could speak with someone in the morning (we received no further support despite requests).The one thing that was positive were that the beds were comfortable, but that is where it ends.At 4.30am we were awoken by a number of guests who had returned from a party and wished to continue this in the room next to our children. Loud voices and music was played for over 30 minutes, I phoned the out of hours number and left a message on the voicemail requesting I could talk with someone in the morning (this did not happen). I spoke with the guests who finally moved outside to continue their party.The breakfast was limited in choice and was not good value, the fresh food particularly the fruit was old and out of date, the orange had mould and the apple was shrivelled.   OK hotel with no extras

  Have stayed here a few times. All OK but no extras. Quiet and clean, comfortable beds. Nice breakfast and free wifi. A few simpler restaurants within walking distance. Free parking. Now part of Clarion/Comfort group. Good English spoken in reception.

  Very clean and quite hotel. The staff were amazing and we had a comfortable sleep. Planning on going there again in August while we visit Euro Disney. Lots to do in the area and it's about 50km from Disneyland Paris. A pet friendly hotel with a lovely and friendly cat on site. Easy to drive to Paris City from this hotel

  Over - Charging

  We had a pleasant stay at this hotel but on returning to England have found that we have been charged 3 times on our credit card for one night's stay. The first charge was a 'no show' charge. The second was the morning we checked out. The third was 4 weeks after we our stay. We are fighting for the return of our money. Beware!

  3 star Best Western with NO FRIG., NO AC., NOT EVEN A TEAPOT!!!

  Three star (?!) Best Western Apolonia in Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry, where I slept one night on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, is conveniently located between Fontainebleau and Orly, although it took me almost one hour to get to the airport, from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., which is far from the 15 minutes that they advertise in their website. But maybe they ment by helicopter? Unfortunately, I was only driving on "Autoroute A6" expressway...The score of 3 out of 5 is due to an excellent receptionist, who was extremely kind and helpful. Without this nice and helpful young lady, I would have not gone beyond 2/5!I got small room 205 for 72 €. I only paid 72 because I always reserve longtime ahead but the rate went up to 78 € without breakfast (+ 13 € extra = 85 for me and 91 € for others). Compare with my "Soirée Etape" at 101.90 € in Bourg or in Troyes at 101.60 € for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast!Of all the BW hotels that I tried during this trip, this one has the most modern building but it is also the most disappointing. I started with an excellent "Hotel de France" in Bourg-en-Bresse, then I went to the BW "Hôtel de La Poste" in Troyes with much smaller rooms but still well equipped ant then this one.Their only advantage is that they have a free private parking in premisses. Also, they are not too far from Orly, where I slept the next day because I was flying to Frankfurt on Friday at 7 a.m.First surprise: NO AC, NO FAN in the room. I had to request a fan which I used all night, fortunately. Ibis hotels are only two stars and all those that I tried have AC. The next day, I discoverd a place called EVER HOTEL a couple of blocks North on the same highway with only two stars but offering AC in their modern rooms for... 67 € the "Soirée Etape" (DB&B).Second surpriose: NO refrigerator, which I have always found in all Best Western that I have tried. I have seen two star hotels with a frig., but this three star BW has not...Third surprise: NO teapot, as I had found in previous Best Western hotels, whether in Frankfurt on in France.Fourth surprise: if the BW in Troyes offered three small soaps, there was only one in here. So make sure you take it with you to the shower. And if you are over 5'8, be careful not to bump your head as you enter the bathtub with a beam on the inclined ceiling... The bathtub is reasonably clean but I would not go so far for the toilet, which could suffer a deep cleaning with Clorox.Fifth surprise: unlike all hotels where I have been in the past thirty years, there is NO roll of toilet paper. You will have to grab small sheets one by one from an opaque dispenser, without ever knowing if it is full, half full or almost empty...I suspect them to have adopted this method in order to make you spend less toilet paper, always with the fear that the dispenser might be almost empty! This will rejoice Greenpeace activists but maybe not those who pay over $100 without breakfast, without a frig, without AC and without even a teapot!As for me, this system rejuvenated me because this was the one used by low end cheap hotels where I had to go when I was a poor student in the 1960s...Did you say three stars???
