    Delightful, friendly staff who all speak an English. Biggest bedroom we’ve ever had in Paris where we had lots of space (room 209). Big bathroom with proper bath with shower over (glorious after a bath plug was found for us). Bath is slippery when having a shower, so take care. comfortable bed, and bedding. Room completely quiet as faces inwards away from the street. Little pool, steam room and sauna perfect after a long day walking to galleries and exploring. Delicious and varied breakfast. Fabulous bistro the Avant Scene, at the end of the street, 5 mins walk away for supper. Packed with French on Saturday night. It’s a short walk from the hotel to Hausmann- St Lazerre, which is the the RER entrance for line E from Gare du Nord.Note: for bus and subway transport in Paris, you now need the equivalent of London Oyster card (if you don’t have Apple Pay on your phone). You can get this card at the mainline train stations and then load it at a ticket machine. The machines are easy to use and have an English option. If in doubt, look at the ‘Man in seat 61’ website.     I had an excellent stay at Laz Urbain. The room was comfortable and very clean, the location was easy to access all the major sites, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I didn't choose the breakfast option, but the selection looked good and varied. Would come back!
