    Pretty good

    rating11 Sept 2025

The hotel is lovely. It is centrally located and near the metro and main train station. There are some fabulous restaurants and cafes in easy walking distance. The breakfast is typically continental, but does provide a fairly good selection. The room was very nice and clean. You are paying more for location than anything else. My only minor criticism is that the housekeeping staff need to use to one lift that services the hotel. This of course can not be helped. With the exception of one or two employees who were pleasant, the housekeepers were very rude, especially should you call the lift when they were using it. I understand their frustration, but not a smile, more a grimace, tutting, some refusing to even look at the guests sharing the lift. This let's the hotel down. Without guests there is no use for housekeepers. Front of house were far more polite. An enjoyable experience and we would stay again, but I would be likely to check the reviews of nearby hotels, for the price we paid. ludolavoisier, at Hotel Le Lavoisier, responded to this review Dear Anne,Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback—it means the world to us. We’re delighted you found our hotel lovely, centrally located, and convenient for exploring Paris, with nice, clean rooms and a solid continental breakfast to start your day.We sincerely apologize for the unpleasant encounters with our housekeeping staff. Your experience is not reflective of the warmth and hospitality we strive to provide, and we will address this immediately to ensure our team embodies the friendly, welcoming spirit that defines our hotel. We’re truly grateful for your understanding and for choosing to stay with us. Should you give us another chance, we’ll make sure your next visit is nothing short of delightful. With heartfelt thanks and warm regards,LudovicHôtel Le Lavoisier & Spa

    Nice little hotel, apathetic staff.

    rating11 Aug 2025

It's quite a nice hotel. As regards the rooms, they're pretty good: we were at the front of the hotel but the double glazing is very good. We were also by the lift which we never heard: clearly they've done their homework on getting the rooms right (although on the small side). We didn't welcome the pointless 10? cushions that were placed on the bed for which we then had to find homes for (under the bed and in the wardrobe. 🙄. Less impressive were the reception and breakfast staff. The breakfast is very ordinary and 3 women who presumably prepare it, sit in a room adjacent. They ask you your room number and then they go back to chatting, until they want a cigarette; then they head outside and frankly make the hotel look cheap. The receptionist is a young man who similarly when he's not on the internet, is having a fag outside. , Directeur général at Hotel Le Lavoisier, responded to this review Dear Cecil,Oh, my goodness—thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re ever so pleased that you found our rooms to be a cozy little retreat, even if they’re a tad snug (we like to think of them as "intimate"!). And yes, the double glazing is rather brilliant. iNow, about those cushions—we do love a bit of drama, but perhaps we went a tad overboard. We’ll take note and make sure they’re a bit less... enthusiastic in the future. We’re truly sorry to hear that our staff didn’t live up to the charm and warmth we strive for. That’s not the experience we want for our guests, and we’ll certainly address this. Our team should be as welcoming as a fresh croissant in the morning, not disappearing for a smoke break like they’re in a French New Wave film. We’d love the chance to welcome you back and show you the true heart of our hotel. Until then, we hope Paris left you with more fond memories than cushion-related frustrations!Warm regards,Hôtel Le Lavoisier & Spa
