    I’ll stay here again

    rating09 Feb 2026

10/10 Area, location, safety feel, vibe, near transit, Boulangerie and restaurants, comfortable bed and pillows, clean room and value for money.Shout out to Alexandra the front desk 10/10.Stayed at room 203 facing the courtyard which has no view or views of neighbouring roofs. Which I don’t mind because I only need a modern, safe, and clean room to sleep while we explored Paris. Direction, Propriétaire at Hotel Le Petit Paris, responded to this review Hello, Thank you for sharing such a positive experience. We're glad the quiet courtyard setting suited your needs and that Alexandra made a great impression on you. We hope to welcome you back on your next Paris adventure!Best wishes, The team at Hôtel Le petit Paris

    Sweet little hotel. Perfect location

    rating27 Jul 2025

Gorgeous little hotel. Lovely room with a little balcony. Very clean and quiet. Great location, this was our first time Paris and we didn’t know what to expect. Lovely to be so near the metro and the beautiful Luxembourg Jardin. Had breakfast just the once - it was fine. Only took one photo! Direction, Propriétaire at Hotel Le Petit Paris, responded to this review Dear Sandra, Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re glad you found your room charming and enjoyed the peaceful ambiance. Our location near the Luxembourg Garden is indeed special for first-time visitors. We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel in the heart of the Latin Quarter! The team of the Petit Paris Hôtel - Paris 5th arrondissement.

    a good hotel

    rating22 May 2025

This small hotel is in a good position close to the Luxemburg Gardens. Luxemburg is on the RER B line, with direct services to Gare du Nord and the Charles de Gaulle Airport. Come out of the station by the Gay Lussac exit, walk down Rue Gay Lussac take the second right turning , Rue Royer Collard, up a small incline at the end of Rue Royer Collard turn right into Rue Saint Jacques and the hotel is just 25m down Rue Saint Jacques . Be sure not to miss the hotel the entrance, it is inconspicuous. The staff were all very friendly, don’t expect the grand reception and lounges that you get in bigger hotels. My room though small was tastefully decorated and looked out over the courtyard, my friends room was decorated a hideous shade of red, with large plastic blobs were the bed head should be. The air-conditioning was perfect, absolutely silent, and would quickly heat the room up in the morning. Rooms overlooking the Rue Saint Jacques can be noisy late at night with revellers and cars and in the morning when the rubbish is collected. Breakfast is served in the small lounge. The breakfast though not expansive is more than adequate with scrambled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, tomatoes, breads, pastries and fruits. Breakfast finishes at 11am which suits night owls. There is a small courtyard where you can take breakfast if the weather is mild. Free Tea and Coffee is available all day. There is no bar as such, but an honesty bar, help yourself to beer, wine or sprits, fill the form and hand it to reception who will charge your account, but check the drink prices. There are several restaurants nearby, we found Bistro Mauzac and Au Port du Salut. The bistro Mauzac has a fairly typical Paris Menu, the “butchers piece” varies, you might get a superb bavette of beef or a rather tough steak. The Au Port du Salut has a good menu and there is also a pianist playing classic French songs most nights. There are lots of Chinese / Vietnamese restaurants nearby, but I wouldn’t go all that way for a Chinese meal. Now value for money, I am not sure, as I have not much experience of Paris Hotels but it did seem expensive to me. Even so I would recommend it. Direction, Propriétaire at Hotel Le Petit Paris, responded to this review Dear Raymond, Thank you for your detailed insights! We’re glad you enjoyed our friendly team and the lovely location near Luxembourg Gardens. We hope to welcome you back soon. The team of the Petit Paris Hôtel

Classic contemporary small Paris hotel experience

    rating13 Jan 2025

The staff was great, as was the room, breakfast, etc. Madame Rault, who owned this location when it was the tourist class Hotel des Medicis (which I stayed in years ago on earlier trips to Paris), would be impressed and pleased with the upgrade/renovation and professional staff. Karim SAIDI, Directeur général at Hotel Le Petit Paris, responded to this review Dear LumTwilligear, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your experience at Hôtel Le petit Paris. Our team takes pride in providing an exceptional stay for our guests and it is gratifying to know you appreciated the renovations (almost 15 years ago!). We hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay in the charming Latin Quarter! The Team

Good hotel with a serious defect.

    rating04 Jan 2025

The hotel has a great location, and two staff members at the reception were very helpful and nice. However, the manager (a lady/ can’t recall her name) displayed shocking unprofessionalism and a poor attitude. Upon check-in, there was no mention of an extra charge for our son. The next morning, she rudely confronted us, demanding payment, and while we agreed politely , she made offensive and racist remarks, claiming she knows 'the tricks' of guests from Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece, or the Middle East who arrive late with children to avoid paying. We really laughed between eah other because we can not let her to ruin or day. However, such behavior is discriminatory, completely unacceptable, and has no place in the hospitality industry. I urge the to management to investigate it and address this issue seriously. Karim SAIDI, Directeur général at Hotel Le Petit Paris, responded to this review Dear guestWe thank you for your stay at le Petit Paris and your review, and we are very sorry you didn't enjoy your experience with us.However we would like to give an answer since you are targetting one member of our staff nad don't report the whole story You booked a double room and checked in late at night and brought your son with you and your wife. The night receptionnist asked why not informing the hotel that you would be three persons in a double room, so we could have found an adapted room for your family in advance. You said you brought your son on "last minute", which we hardly believe since you booked one month ahead. This "trick" is unfortunately common in many hotels and all over the world, no matter what nationality , and made by guests who simply don't want to pay for a bigger room . This put the staff in an uncomfortbale situation. We have rules and procedures to respect, you ignored them It is striclty forbidden to accomodate 3 persons in any double room (safety reasons in case of fire evacuation, insurance reason covering 2 persons in a double room and not 3) .All this was explained to you We are very sorry you felt discriminated. The receptionnist you dealt with found your responsiveness very rude towards her, as you just told her several times to"shut up her mouth", in front of your child and other clients in the lobby, that you were a lawyer(trying to impress her),and you will let the world know what happened (threat to tarnishg the E-reputation of our hotel). You were totally disrespectful towards one member of the staff that you treated like a servant. This is what happened and we let the Tripadvisor community make up their mind, in this isolate case of bad behaviour from a guest. Have a nice day and happy new year .Hotel PETIT PARIS
