    Cozy and Charming

    rating27 Apr 2026

My daughter (11) and I traveled to Paris for a long weekend in March, and greatly enjoyed our stay at the Leonardo Boutique hotel. The location was convenient for the price, and we found everywhere to be walkable (we are from NYC and walk longer distances routinely). We walked to both Montmartre one day, and the Louvre, Palais Royale, Notre Dame on another day. Shopping and strolling Le Marais is a breeze. We took an Uber to the Eiffel Tower, but that was only about 12 Euro. The whole feel of the hotel is like staying at a friend's apartment, and the staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful and friendly. It was cozy and quintessential Parisian. Our room had a lovely view of the little alleyway and rooftops. The furnishings were efficient and the bed very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small, but perfectly adequate and clean. You can walk to many adorable cafes, bakeries and shops in the neighborhood. We enjoyed breakfast nearby vs at the hotel, so I can not speak to that. I would recommend it! Barbara Agos, Directeur général at Leonardo Boutique Hotel Paris Opera, responded to this review Thank you so much for sharing such a warm and detailed review. We truly appreciate you taking the time to describe your experience as a mother-daughter trip to Paris. It's wonderful to hear that you and your daughter felt at home in our hotel and that our team made you feel welcome. Knowing that our location helped you explore Montmartre, the Louvre, Le Marais and Notre Dame on foot is a real compliment, especially coming from New Yorkers who know what walking really means. We're also delighted that you appreciated the cosy and quintessentially Parisian atmosphere, the view over the alleyway and rooftops, and the comfort of the beds. Even the small but perfectly adequate bathroom seems to have done the job, which is very good to know.Thank you again for recommending us. It would be a real pleasure to welcome you and your daughter again, perhaps for another long weekend or even a longer stay next time.Warm regards,Lucas CLARISSEHotel Manager

    Nice but cramped

    rating07 Mar 2026

This hotel is situated in a quiet courtyard but great access to loads of bars and restaurants. The breakfast was very good and the staff friendly. However, the rooms are tiny with a double room barely able to take two people and their luggage. The lift is also tiny. Not ideal for an extended stay. Barbara Agos, Directeur général at Leonardo Boutique Hotel Paris Opera, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our quiet courtyard location, the good breakfast, and the friendliness of our staff. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding the size of our rooms and the lift. As is typical in the heart of Paris, especially in the historic 9th arrondissement, our rooms and facilities are more compact compared to other cities. We fully understand that this may not be ideal for an extended stay.We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a shorter visit, or to recommend one of our larger room categories should you wish to stay with us again in the future.Sincerely,Lucas CLARISSEHotel Manager

STAY AWAY , DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL

    rating09 Feb 2026

STAY AWAY – DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTELOur experience at this hotel in Paris was extremely concerning, especially in terms of security.First of all, it is important to say this clearly:If something happens to you at this hotel, you will struggle to find anyone in charge. There is no responsible person to speak to, no real support, and no one willing to take ownership of a problem when it occurs. The rooms are very small and not suitable for guests expecting even basic comfort. However, the main issue is safety. Both my phone and my son’s phone were stolen from the hotel lobby. The lobby is extremely small, approximately 10 square meters, yet people from outside can enter freely and without any security control. The thief or thieves did not only enter the lobby; they were also able to walk into the back restaurant area of the hotel without restriction, where they stayed in groups of 2–3 people, observing the surroundings. During this time, no staff member questioned them or asked who they were.In short, there is no control over who enters or moves around inside the hotel’s common areas. We immediately informed hotel management and requested access to the security camera footage. We were told that the recordings could not be shown to us. Later, the hotel staff confirmed that they had reviewed the footage themselves and that the thief was clearly visible on the cameras. Despite this, the only response we received was that we should report the incident to the police. No manager contacted us,no concern was shown, and no sense of responsibility was taken. After this experience, I can say with confidence that this hotel does not feel safe.Anyone planning to stay in Paris—especially travelers who care about security and basic guest support—should seriously reconsider before booking this hotel. Lucas Clarisse, Directeur général at Leonardo Boutique Hotel Paris Opera, responded to this review Dear Mr. Koral,We are truly sorry that your stay was affected by this unfortunate incident. We fully understand the frustration and concern it can cause. That being said, we would like to clarify several important points. As soon as the situation was reported, our reception team acted immediately and informed me. As I was abroad for a business trip, I told the team the procedure in such a case. You asked our staff to leave the hotel and search the surrounding streets for the suspected individual. As explained at the time, this is neither legally permitted nor safe for hotel employees. In cases of theft, it is the responsibility of the victim to file a formal complaint with the police, which is the only authority empowered to investigate and take action. This procedure was followed, and we fully cooperated with the police throughout providing them all the necessary recordings to investigate efficiently.Regarding the CCTV footage, French regulations strictly limit access to surveillance recordings. These images cannot be shown directly to guests and are only accessible to authorized personnel or the police. All relevant footage was promptly transmitted to the authorities. We have since been informed that the individual involved had committed similar acts in other hotels and was identified thanks to this investigation.According to the recordings, the phone had been left unattended on a bench in the lobby. The individual entered the hotel, approached reception under the pretext of requesting information about booking a room, then sat next to your unattended mobile and took it without being noticed. While we maintain vigilance in our common areas, as in any public-access space in a major city, personal belongings should never be left unattended. We respectfully disagree with the statement that no support was provided. Our team immediately explained the correct legal procedure, assisted you with the necessary steps, and transmitted all evidence to the police. We explained the only thing that can be done in this kind of situation. Although the theft understandably created panic, for you as well as for us, involving the police was clearly the right step to take. In the end, it proved effective, as the individual was located.Incidents of this nature remain rare in our establishment. The safety of our guests is important to us.We regret that this experience has affected your perception of your stay, but we stand by the professionalism and diligence of our team in managing the situation appropriately.Kind regards,

Perfect place to stay in Paris

    rating14 Oct 2025

Ideally positioned in the heart of Paris, friendly staff and rooms clean and modern. Transport links are excellent with metro stations and bus stops close. Placed in a quiet square for an escape from the main streets. So much to explore locally from cafes and shops to architecture and gardens. You must walk through the covered “passages” for boutiques and hidden gems. Love Paris and would absolutely stay at the Leonardo Boutique again.
