  We stayed here recently and I found the standard of the room very poor. No fresh towels, bed was never made or changed, no toilet roll, the bins weren’t taken out etc for our 3 night stay. Room was very small and looked much bigger in pictures. We found it quite unclean. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend.   We’ve now stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions. Good location in an interesting area we were greeted by a charming young lady at reception who accommodated our request for a room change and got us into our room quickly and efficiently. Nice room and a good breakfast with the staff, excellent as ever, we will return again.   We pre-booked this hotel will in advance of our trip with a note saying we wanted a twin/2 bed room. When we arrived we were told it depends on what's available and a twin room was not available so we were stuck with a double. We are 2 bigger girls and we're given a double bed. After we complained about the room we were told there was nothing they could do. The whole point of having a place to leave specific notes regarding our stay was so that we could enjoy our time at the hotel in a comfortable way. This did not happen. I have been to Paris before and knew what to expect size wise for a room. I was looking forward to it so much and this was a huge disappointment. I could have overlooked the location if the room was comfortable for us. The location was inconveniently located far from anything you would want to see as a tourist. We also knew this beforehand however at night the area is sketchy. Overall would not stay here again.   SIMPLE HOTEL, WELL ORGANISED, 24 RECEPTION - RECOMMEND!

  Simple, basic hotel (I have stayed before) with comfortable beds, white cotton bed linen, 24 hour reception - this is important to me - and everything you need. Two minutes to the Metro with a large Monoprix a few hundred years away. Restaurants and Boulangeries on the doorstep and Butte de Chaumont parc an easy 15 minute walk away. Abul (reception) provided excellent customer service as did the evening man whose French name began with F. Friendly, efficient and both will try their best to help with any problem or enquiry. This makes a big difference to the quality of the stay. I asked housekeeping not to attend my room as a solo traveller and only staying 3 nights, (they need a break) always pleasant though when met on the stairs. Reception did help with coffee and milk supplies as housekeeping didn't go in my room. I did not use the aircon or need heating. I particularly like the long 'french door' style windows which air the room the way I prefer. Recommend.   Ideal location for us near the buzzing St Martin Canal with its many restaurants and bars. There are 2 metro stations only 5 minutes away. Stalingrad and Villette area 10- 20 minutes walk.(Gare du Nord is only 20 mins walk also).Friendly/helpful staff at hotel. Rooms are not very large but we only sleep there although not much hanging space, bathrooms are a good size. More than adequate continental breakfast which met our needs.
