    Friends in Paris suggested this boutique when initially asked for recommendations in the Marais. This is just slightly beyond by one or two streets in the Bastille and I'm so grateful we stayed here. Far fewer tourists, more locals, tons of restaurants in walking distance (from sushi to steak, plus an adorable cat cafe a block over). The rooms were gorgeous with huge windows overlooking an inner courtyard, and the suite comfortably accommodated the 3 of us. Everyone was helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was a daily highlight. Will be back!     Cozy Boutique Hotel Near Le Marais

    We stayed as a couple at Maison Bréguet for a weekend trip to Paris and truly enjoyed our time there. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made our stay feel very welcoming from the start. The location was perfect for us, just about five minutes from Place de la Bastille and around a ten-minute walk to Le Marais, yet the hotel itself is quietly situated on a side street. The breakfast was very good, and the on-site restaurant, which is also open to the public in the evening, offers excellent quality food in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.On the downside, the rooms are relatively small, which is quite typical for Paris. That said, everything necessary was available, including space to hang clothes, and the room was well designed to make the most of the space. Overall, a charming boutique hotel that serves as a great base for exploring the city.     We had a perfect night's stay at Maison Breguet. The staff were very friendly and welcoming at check-in. We really appreciated being shown to our room by the receptionist, which was a nice 'extra mile' touch. She also remembered to wish my wife Happy Birthday, which was lovely. The room was great. Ideal size for us and a lovely view on to an open, quiet courtyard at the rear. The decor is spot on. We really liked the 11th as a location, as it's got a little bit of a lived, real life Paris feel to it, rather than feeling like a tourist heavy theme park. It's was quiet at night too, which we appreciated. Breakfast was great. Again the staff were super helpful and just the right side of attentive. We only wished we could have stayed longer. One night wasn't enough...     Great Location with a Helpful Staff

    It's a wonderful location for repeat visitors since a bit off the major tourist routes and nearby lots of local restaurants. We had one of the largest rooms which was comfortable by Paris standards with a well-designed bathroom. (As throughout Paris you need to adjust your expectations on hotel room sizes). The staff was friendly and helpful; the room was cleaned perfectly each day but there were lapses in replacing the towels and bath amenities each day--and not always easy to rectify at night once the daytime staff departed. Breakfast staff was warm and accommodating; great made-to-order egg dishes each day. We enjoyed our stay but in terms of managing expectations, this is not you typical 5-star hotel -- there is no true lobby and services are limited outside of daytime hours. Gym and pool are nice to have but limited space at both so need to get lucky with timing to enjoy those facilities.
